Gio's shot is good but if Chucky or Bennett are not on the ice then often noone is infront of the goalies.....

They should honestly pretend it’s 5 on 5 while on the PP. The level of overthinking and what I believe to be going for the perfect passing play leads to mistake after mistake

I don't get the strategy of having Chucky stay on the blueline. He should be parked in front of the net, full stop.

True. Though he wasn't very big in the net with all the scrambling in front. The puck banked right to the centre of the net.
