I’m wondering what’s up with that.

If JQ hits the market I am pretty sure unless the Caps win the SC Trotz is done and the Caps will bring JQ in to get over the hump.

We pretty much wasted the season. If we had brought in Sutter sooner at least we could look how the team responded under a different coach and made adjustments in the off season. Not sure why we didn't start the process sooner unless the Flames want to look at who is available. Still could have brought in him in for the short term to see if we made the playoffs.

I would be ready to give Tim Hunter a shot at the head coaching position.

I think the Flames are done with Rookie or in experienced coaches for a while.

I’ll do it for 20 dollars free dome beer and an iPad mini. I promise I’ll get more out of these guys then GG did. I can be very intimidating when needed. And I’m a nice effin guy too.

The last rookie head coach this team had was Playfair.

If the Flames do fire Gulutzan and bring in Sutter this is a very valid question that hopefully Treliving is asked.

Not much point?

He'll have his pick of the litter should the Capitals be dumb enough to get rid of him - he's sporting a .678 win% in his 4 seasons in Washington and has never failed to take the team to at least the second round....you don't fire that coach and either way, I don't think Trotz would want to come here. There are teams that may be dumping coaches in far better positions than the Flames.

I don't know what motivates those guys, but it seems to me that coaching the 2018-2019 Flames would be one of the easiest ways to win a Jack Adams.

Well if Gulutzan isn't fired at the end of the season we may as well start the "Treliving replacement?" thread because he will almost certainly be fired by the end of next season with Gulutzan. You simply can't afford to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Two years of this hockey is enough.

What else is there to talk about? The season is done and talking about the team right now is just depressing.

Coaching options is a glimmer of hope.

Owners are too cheap to pay top dollar for experienced coaches.

I am starting to think there is a good chance that GG comes back next season with new assistant coaches. Everyone is 'pleased and happy' with the teams performance on 5v5, and keeps leaning on the 'unlucky' side of things. Also, keep hearing that if the PP was 'even close to Average', the team would have been a playoff contender.

I want to see a new coach brought in, but the tea-leaves are telling me that GG is staying for one more year, albeit on a short leash.

This franchise can actually be labelled a complete disaster if they are so witless as to leave this stooge and his merry band of nitwits at the helm for another go around. I would even go as far as to say the team would actually lose dedicated fans at that point.

Well they better be willing to take a significant hit in gate revenue, as I know many won't be back for another year of GG hockey. I certainly won't be.

That would be incredibly bad.
