This is exactly what I hate about Gulutzan's system - designed to apply pressure and maintain possession, but even the 'high danger chances' seem a little lower than the other team's who just counter with fewer (much fewer in this case) but higher quality chances.

The team is dead. They can't play defence, at all. They can't control the offensive blue line, they can't control the neutral zone, and they can't control the defensive zone.
For all our hard work, grinding it in the offensive zone...all we do is give up breakaways and 2 on 1 rushes. Awful.

How can they repeatedly be so lazy with the changes? I think that's what, the fourth odd man rush/breakaway this game resulting from a bad change?

That kind of goal is exactly why "advanced" stats are meaningless. Dominate possession and then completely breakdown to allow a play like that is not a bad bounce.

Rittich may not be better but a goalie swap could pitentially work to change the momentum of the game. Something needs to be done.

Flames shot their load in the first and then Backlund missing the empty net looked to be the final curtain.
