He's got 1914 NHL points right now, will it be too big a stretch to reach 2000 this season?
Yes.

Neat point by Pavel Barta on Jagr. Circle closes; Jagr played 1st game with Czechoslovak national team vs Flames 11 Sep '89 in Prague, 4-1.
And we all know who the defending Stanley Cup Champions were when that happened...
In terms of setting realistic expectations for Jagr this season, is 70 GP, 20 G, 30 A about right? What do you think CP?
I have no idea how Gulutzan intends to use him, so I cant really guess at his point totals but if a ~$2M player nets you 50 points you're in great shape.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

I think 40 to 45 points. I also think it is about the eventual chemistry with Bennett or Jankowski cos Sam is about to breakout. Benefits and points production would be mutual.

Depends on his usage. He was often playing with Barkov and Huby often in Florida. In more of a secondary scoring role on the third line and second PP unit, may see the numbers come down a bit, but that might not be a reflection on Jagr's contributions as it is his opportunity.
I think main goal will be to spot him in good situations and not over-use him, keep him effective for 82 games plus the playoffs.
