Yes. There are quite a few Western rattlesnakes in the Columbia Plateau. The name is still dumb, though, and there are no rattlers on Seattle's side of the Cascade mountains.
"Summit" would be my choice, in reference to Seattle's snow-covered volcanoes and mountains. (Washington has more glacier ice than all of the other lower 48 US states combined.) I understand why most people prefer a plural animal moniker, though.
