Honestly, for me, I would prefer every single other team to win the cup instead of Edmonton.

At least they weren't gifted another generational talent just like the Penguins were with Crosby because each team was absolute garbage for a prolonged period of time.

I can respect when any other team wins. I will never respect any success the Oilers have over the next decade. Plus their fans are making Canuck fans look classy.

And there's the challenge with a young team opening at home. Really happy Flames open on the road.

Likely just the ones that removed the store tags from those orange monstrosities and thus can't return them tomorrow.

I heard so many times today how the Oil would sweep the Sharks with very little effort. I couldn't be happier with tonight's outcome!

I'm have very little hockey knowledge but when a team gets utterly dominated for two periods then loses in the shootout isn't it customary for them not to get the first and third star?

I didn't catch the first period but it clearly looks like SJ started slow and when they got it in gear they left edmonton in the dust.

If a hockey game was 20 minutes, Sharks had no chance. But there's another 40 minutes and Oilers looked like they were outmanned and outgunned.

Shots 40-20 sharks something? Were they destroyed? Did goalie keep them in the game? Did McBurger score?

All this and still an OT loss. Too good to be true.

You must have missed the first 10 minutes. Sharks OWNED them. Then that lucky Klefbom goal happened.

It was 1-0 6 minutes in, sucked the life out of the Sharks.

Oilers played well for 10 minutes of that game and scored twice over that time. The rest of the time they were utterly dominated. Talbot played well.

The Oilers are in trouble. If the Sharks can shut down McDavid it's pretty much over. The guy is amazing but only human and he has little help.
