Why are people getting bent out of shape because other people wish Iginla well and would like to see him win a cup? That would be a great moment for him, and for fans of his. You can still be a fan of a team AND of single players outside the team.
I hope LA kills it and makes the playoffs now. Still hope it is at the expense of the Oilers - they are a ripe candidate to crash back to earth with how much they are riding Talbot. Hope St. Louis also does well. The sudden 'we are so good and way better than everyone else' sentiment from up north wishes it to turn into embarrassment and tears.
Doesn't change a thing about Calgary - I hope they blow out the Kings in the next 3 games they play.

I'm always gonna cheer for a Flames Cup first. But if Flames are out, I'm allowed to cheer on my favorite non Flame players.
Some people are getting bent out of shape because people wish Iggy well. So odd.

Kings traded their number 1 goalie Peter Budaj to TB for a backup. They traded Dwight King to Montreal for conditional 4th. Traded conditional 4th for an older and possibly slower player Jarome Iginla. Are they tanking on purpose? LOL

I can't bring myself to cheer for the Kings or Iggy because it's more than likely that if the Kings get in, then it'll be at the expense of the Flames.

Do you really think Budaj is better thank Bishop?

Iginla to wear No.88
As per LA Kings PR.
Jerome had a No.88 jersey with his name on it while growing up watch Gretzky.Gaborik already wears No.12.

You saw how close the split was in the poll thread. I wouldn't expect them to suddenly change their tack.

I agree 100% about supporting our team no matter who the opposition is. This very well may come down to the wire with LA and Calgary competing for the playoff spot and I can see the irony of a guy like Iggy scoring the deciding goal or a guy like Gio blasting one from the point to win it to get us into the playoffs.
Interesting times all around but in the end as long as it doesn't directly affect us, keep me in the pro Iggy side 1000%

The Kings have 3 games left against the oilers, as much as I'd love to see a post season battle of Alberta, watching the Oilers miss the playoffs is always more enjoyable so let's hope the Kings sweep their three games against them.

I said this earlier but a 10-8 record basically guarantees a playoff spot. If the Flames can't do that I won't blame Iggy

I personally could care less where Iggy goes, and if he wins a cup. But I will not begrudge any fan for cheering him on.

I could care less too. But I choose not to. I like Iggy and hope that if LA does make the playoffs, they go deep.

How much less could you care?
A little less or a lot less?
Just trying to gauge how much you actually care...

So amazed at all the people taking this and other trades to such an unhealthy level.

You've been a Iginla hater since he left. Everything you say should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

I am just so glad to see that Iggy has a chance to play for a competitive team.
Growing up, he was always my hero, and justifiably so. I'll never forgot the one on one time he gave me during his charitable hockey camps.
I'll be cheering for St. Louis and Edmonton losses from now on.

I think you misunderstood me.
I want the Calgary Flames to win a Cup. Iginla, at this point, does not help them do that.
So if Iggy wants a Cup now, and the Flames are not poised to win it immediately, then they seem an ill-match.

I hope LA crashes and burns. The Voynov saga, weaseling out of the Richards contract, etc.
It's still curious that many were extremely happy for Regehr winning a cup with them. I feel the same way about Robyn that new era does regarding Iginla. Eff him.
