So does anyone think management will actually grow a pair and make some kind of change after this debacle? Or do they stick with the status quo for the remainder of the year and just hope they work themselves out of it?
Sure, you don't want to make a panic move when your team is in a funk, but this isn't one of those losing streaks where the team is playing well and just not getting the bounces. It's clear that there is something seriously rotten with this team and it looks like they've completely quit on their coach. This is a solid roster playing piss poor hockey. We know they're much better than this, because we've seen it.

We want Julien! We want Julien! Should really be the chant at the next home game if it hasn't happened all ready. This team is a living breathing #### storm, GG has made this team worse then last year. By a #### ton

On the flip side, people blaming young developing players for not being able to carry a team yet are being far too impatient.
Our support players are complete trash - so asking young players like Gaudreau, Monahan and Bennett to carry the team is the same insanity that Edmonton tried.
Gulutzan hasn't built up any faith, and doesn't look like he will be any time soon.

We've seen these players play well before. They are easily capable of it. They have sucked under Gulutzan and he hasn't proven himself as an NHL coach. It is easy to give the players a pass while dumping the coach.

Yes. Because he inspires zero belief or motivation.
The two things that all of these players are lacking right now. Sure, put it on the players. But it's easy to give up when your coach seems resigned to it too.

What's the point in making any changes like firing the coach mid season?
Ride this crap out and figure things out in offseason.

Let's be honest tho,
usually when any team struggles, the coach is the first to go.

How can people look back fondly at the Hartley era? Even if gulutzan is not the answer, Hartley definitely wasn't.

Too fragile right now that once they get scored on it's game over.
And this is nothing new with this team, we are going on 3 seasons of it now.
We saw it in the 14-15 season during the 9 game game losing streak.
We saw it in the 15-16 season with the long stretches of win steak and losing streak.
And we are seeing that carry over to this year.
It's not a GG problem, it wasn't a Hartley problem, it's the make up of the locker room. They get too down on themselves after a loss and instead of getting angry that they are losing they feel sorry for themselves, and are afraid to make mistakes.

Here's an advanced stat for everyone: when you continuously get twice as many shots as your opponent while allowing twice as many goals against, there is something the f*** wrong with your sh*t.
I think I'll call this stat the Wake the Hell Up Ratio, or for short.

I honestly don't know where the Gulutzan defense force comes from. What has he actually ever accomplished as a coach that makes you think he brings any value to this team? The Flames hired a no name coach with little experience and the results are not surprising. The players at least have a history of performing.

Some of this is definitely on the players, particularly earlier on in October. But now that they've had a good stretch and are falling off track again, I'm more inclined now to pin this on the coaching.
Particularly Sigalet. The shots right now in the game are 22-12 and we are down 3-0. If either one of the goalies lay another stinker, he should be gone. It very well may be on the goalies more and not the goalie coach, but a message has to be sent all the same.
Considering Burke has been clamoring for a truculent team for years now and we are atm the exact opposite of that, I can't imagine his patience will last to the end of the year if he keeps watching this team get pushed around with no response.

I don't think you specified times. Anyway, I heard just today when he said he talked to them after the game, and in the pre game meeting before this game. He wasn't making a point of "I talked to them", he was relating what he said.
Lots of coaches avoid talking in the minutes before or after games.
