Especially if the NHL changes their "rulings" it will show the refs had no ####ing clue what they are doing out there. They simply lost control of the game at the end there, and you just cant have that as a ref, they need to be unequivocally in charge and respected and I'm not sure how they get back to that after this.

They were so concerned with tying up flames players they pretty much helped the canucks fight dirty by making the # of combatants uneven during most of the melee. I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose, probably just incompetence but it still needs to be dealt with just the same. They caused/let the 2 on 1 n Engelland and the Stajan attack happen because they were more concerned with restraining flames players and letting the cowards do whatever they wanted... they allowed the game to devolve into a bush league WWE sideshow and then they completely botched the penalties to boot.

Might as well call up ECHL refs instead if this is the standard they're going to hold themselves to. I very seldom complain about officiating but these guys have lost the legitimacy to ref the rest of this series. Just an embarrassing display, really hope the NHL doesn't sweep this garbage under the rug.
Those linesman did it on purpose and Dan O' Halleron absolutely did nothing to intervene with a 2 vs 1 fight.
He might as well have started eating popcorn.

So true. As much as I love the idea of some Kesler clad Canucks jersey wearing scumbag having his lunch fed to him, Calgary is remembered for the Red Mile, Edmonton as Stabmonton, and Vancouver for their riots. We truly are better than such filth. And I apologize for including Edmonton in the same grouping as Vancouver.

Engelland is obviously worn out after having two guys wrestle him to the ground. Dorsett couldn't resist the cheap shot, and he never really wanted that fight as you saw him going for the takedown at the very beginning.

Thanks AC. This is such a gutless play, typical canuck garbage. In other news, no supplemental discipline from the NHL.

We need our top line to get some points now. Tonight was decided by the Canucks top 2 lines getting points early while our top line has been pretty quiet besides a few flashes that go without shots. I do think if our top line gets going our team will rally around them. I don't think the Sedins or any of the Canuck forward lines have really done much but had results early today.

One thing that worries me is that as the series goes along Wideman and Russel are going to be dead tired. Even if it doesn't result in mistakes it's going to stop them from joining the rush which is a huge aspect of our game. If Engelland is suspended we are in even more trouble as I'm not sure how much we can expect Russell and Wideman to continue to be effective in both zones.

Ferland has been amazing this series though and if it goes seven games he's going to keep getting the Canuck players to focus on him instead of the game. You can already tell that he's under Bieksa and Hamhuis skin. Hopefully Hartley continues to tell Ferland to put the body on the Vancouver defense cause it's taking a toll on Vancouver defense. A Vancouver news station already retweeted a reporter quoting Bieksa "Hopefully we see Raymond next game." Which is a huge sign that Ferland has been a huge impact on the Canucks defense and that they really don't want to see Ferland anymore.

League will ignore it and suspend egelland. The Canucks play the NHL like a chello at a wedding.

Don't worry, you don't need to. If history is correct, they are due for a self inflicted city ruining in about another 12 years.

I just looked it up. I feel sick to my stomach and simultaneously enraged. Some things should be off the table. PERIOD.

Great. Schick is/was from Lethbridge. In the 90s he lived next door to a buddy of mine in high school. My buddy talked to him all the time and one this was for certain, Schick hated the Flames.

There is no way those officials should be allowed to work another playoff game again. That was a complete disgrace as they stood by and watched our players get attacked and mugged and then they gave the wrong calls.

There is going to be hell for Vancouver Sunday and Tuesday.
