I listened to Treliving discuss the situtation with Bennett after sending him down and it made me LOVE Bennett's attitude. Paraphrasing:

"Oh he was sour. He was pissed off. He felt he was part of the team. He thought that he was not only ready, but that he could help."

He framed it not in a bad way, not whining. But basically begging the GM to let him help the team. Dude is going to be a force.

He definitely has the will and desire that you need to take that next step from a good player to a great player.

Well as a peterborough fan that period hurt. Bennett had a nice assist on the goal and the frontenacs are leading 18-3 in shots. Not the same team with Bennett. They will be a handful in the playoffs.

Bennett got hit hard but popped up. Also had a few dirty shots to the face of petes players.

Pretty sure tod button is here. Not sure if he's watching Bennett or scouting other players for our 2nds and 3rds.

so 13 points in 7 games games, with a period and a bit remaining. Nice.

There's no way he's not in the NHL next season.

I know he skated with the Flames for a bit but to just jump in after missing 3/4 of the season and produce like this shows it would probably be a waste for him to spend an entire season in the CHL next season.

Another assist. Nothing special, it was just a shot on net that the goalie didn't cover in time and crouse knocked it in. 5-2

Way too good to be playing there. Sigh

Still is better than throwing him to the wolves in the NHL, I certainly get that. It's just my excitement getting the better of me

This is exactly what the Flames wanted though. Go out and prove you're better than we think you are. Well, Pretty safe to say he's done that. I truly feel the Flames lucked out with Bennett playing with a bum shoulder most of last year. I think he'd have been the clear cut numero uno choice if he was 100%.

So exciting.

EDIT: Small meaningless benefit #1, ELC slides this year! Hey-oh!
