Pathetic. Wrong player and wrong spelling to boot.

Its sad how often Sportsnet graphics during games come across as something that was frantically typed literally seconds before they were scheduled to appear on the broadcast.
Jarmoe, Bourwue, Bera, Girodano, Gaudreau's "1st NHL goal", etc.

Last night for me the audio seemed almost in sync. Still a bit off, but much better than some of the games this year.
As for Hrudey, he does say "Calgary" like a non-Calgarian. He's lived here long enough, hasn't he? I'll give him a pass on that because I like him as the colour guy. I think he's doing fine.

Yeah, the whole Cal-Gary thing drives me nuts, but agreed, I do like him doing colour so he gets a pass.

I've been somehow accumulating stars in other games... One assist +1 and a Gordie Howe hat trick! #wrongguy

No virtual ads on the glass...and i don't notice any lag. Perhaps our angry mob e-mails have worked!

It sure did; it got that audio guy fired, and his replacement doesn't know where the cold-war era volume knob is on the master volume for the crowd mics.

Most exciting team to watch, but would never know it on a sportsnet feed! Seriously, they need to mic the crowd this is bushleague.

They took the ads away so that must have been the problem as we suspected. Now if we could just boost the arena volume to that we have for national games, that would be gravy! (Along with better HD picture quality)

We had a teacher in grades 5 and 6 (as in me and a handful of other CP members who were in elementary school with me) whose job was formerly the typist for a TV station for the online descriptors. I remember her saying it was a tough job as you have very little time to get something on screen - maybe seconds - as the producer would be yelling instructions as they set the news.
We asked her if she ever made a mistake. She said that she did and it happens more often than people realize. Then we asked her what her worst mistake was. To this day I remember her response. She said "I left the "L" out of Public Defender"

I went on a twitter rant last night about the same thing. I can't hear the crowd at all, and it really takes away from the 'experience' they are surely trying to deliver.

Healey is freaking terrible. Such a self absorbed pompous jackass.
Also at the beginning I hate how everyone was low blowing TSN. Like really? You won, win with grace. Act professional. Morons.

They have crowd noise in the Edmonton broadcast, maybe they (sn) just want Calgary to look bad.

Maybe they think that Calgary is exciting enough without it, and Edmonton needs all the help it can get?
While that's very true, it is still no excuse and I'd still suspect incompetence or ignorance rather than any sort of conscious decision. It just comes across as a bush league broadcast with the sound troubles that seem to drag on for, quite honestly, years.

The worst part was during the honouring of the Stamps when they came out to centre ice. Was hoping to get pumped up from the crowd going nuts. Instead from home, it sounded like no one there gave a crap about the Stamps and only the faintest of cheering was heard. That was pretty disgraceful.

Yeah, I was disappointed with the reaction of the Flames fan but then they panned to the crowd and it did look like they were cheering quite loudly. Stupid Sportsnet.

Yeah I saw the fans were cheering. But just listening to the audio made it sound like no one cared. I'm sure if the audio was done properly we could have felt it at home. Way to dumb down the city's biggest sports win in years SN.
