Yeah, no beta content, that was all wiped. It's all good though, with how addictive the game is, you level up pretty quick!

Made level 20 last night, now I guess I have to start finding legendary and exotic gear.

Strikes are the best for that?

There are places to farm that are technically more efficient. Best thing to do is level up your Vanguard/Crucible Rep to 2 and buy what you need along with Xur. Though it does make grinding for rep/engrams easier when you already have a Legendary or two.

I find it pretty lame that once you unlock the second subclass at level 15 that you have to start all over again with it instead of transferring points from your existing one. It feels like you gimp your character so much by choosing it, at least until you can level it up some. The 2nd subclass should have been unlocked way sooner, like at level 5, so the gap wouldn't have been so huge and you could have chosen which one to stick with for the grind to 20

Please do yourself a favour and don't rely on drops to get gear after twenty. Focus on earning Marks, Coins, Reputation and Motes of Light through Strikes, Patrols and Bounties.

Then turn all of these in to the various vendors in the Tower to purchase the gear you want.

Anything random dropping above and beyond is just a bonus, not the entire focus of the game. People wasting their time farming for random drops and then getting upset by the randomness of it, makes me sad. Just play the game and you'll be stacked within a week or two.

Also focus on spinmetal, relic iron, spirit bloom and helium filaments, which are gathered throughout the planets an Ascendant shards earned from getting gold in public events. These are all used to upgrade the Legendary and Exotic gear you'll purchase from the Tower.

Then... Once your gear is strong enough, you'll ding lvl 28 and be properly equipped to tackle Nightfall Strikes and Raids.

Here's my Titan, not a minute spent on farming drops and only 3 matches of Crucible (which I only played to get that damn exclamation point to stop flashing at me, was driving my OCD crazy). I think he's pretty awesome. I've also had terrible luck with random drops, almost nothing good has dropped for me. Only my rocket launcher was found in a chest.

One thing that'll help with making the 2nd subclass not so underleveled is always switching to it when trading in bounties/end of Crucible matches. Luckily all other 2nd subclasses for any future characters you make are now unlocked.

Spinmetal, Spirit Bloom and Relic Irons are easy to farm. Helium Filmanets, not so much. I'm going to have to scour the moon for these. :/

I am in the same boat. Would love to play more but just can't. Once I start playing I am in for 3-4 hours and just don't have the time. Hopefully this weekend I can get online.
