This wins the thread so hard. Made my day. I'm going to dig mine out of the basement tonight for kicks.
I remember the Loblaws sticker album:
Stickers from the 1974/1975 Season. These were given out at Loblaws grocery stores back then. The strips were issued in a loop. Each strip features 8 players from different teams, and a store coupon. These 40 strips contain a total of 320 different players from that time including big names like Bobby Orr, Ken Dryden, Bernie Parent, Bobby Clarke.....this list goes on and on. Also defunct teams such as the Kansas City Scouts and the California Golden Seals are represented in this set.
I hope no one has mentioned these yet, but I was big into YTV back in the day (a shame it's complete garbage now).
I vividly remember stuff like this
When they began showing this less and less, occasionally I would stay up until late at night when they always ran it for some reason. I remember there being a longer version as well, which I had memorized for the longest time.
Then since it was mentioned in a game thread a few weeks ago...
Of course there was Freaky Stories, which I still watch occasionally to this day.
Then there was Goosebumps, which was always one of my favorites, until it ran out of steam after a few years. I never really liked Are You Afraid of the Dark? though, which was always on for some reason.
Then there was Uhoh! Which was a really bad game show I suppose, and now I feel bad for the hosts having to dress up in dumb costumes and explain nonsensical obstacle courses.
Finally there was Video and Arcade Top Ten, in which I swear no one ever pulled the bonus ball. All the kids on the show sucked ass, and I always believed I would have crushed them if I had was against them (I did send in a form a couple times). The host was always extremely obnoxious though, and didn't seem to really give a crap.
Then of course there was PJ Phil, who I imagine is probably either dead or in a gutter these days, but compared to I've seen today you can't even compare them to his level of greatness.
Sorry for the long post btw, but I know if they haven't already been posted someone will appreciate them, especially Canadians who grew up in the 90's.

Sorry, wanna just add one more thing, but did anyone else always play four square back in the day? We played it all the time in Dalhousie Elementary, and I was pretty damn good at it.
Then I asked a couple of my buddies in Edmonton if they ever played it, and none of them had. So maybe it was just a Calgary thing, but that game was awesome, and those guys definitely missed out.

I did my elementary years in Moncton and Halifax, we played it. I sucked at it.

Remember when there was only a handful of tv channels? They would announce the new fall shows in the summer and I couldn't wait to see them. Friday and Saturday nights were the best because you could stay up a little later if you negotiated well with the parents during the week.
So many more...

Anyone else lucky enough to own a Panasonic Shockwave discman at one point?
I owned that one and then later got this one
Had all of those...paid 225 at Sounsdaround (down from $260) for the yellow one in 1996. Had a Discman in 1991, but the Panasonic had 20 second antiskip.

Baby bumps, hot potato...the 4 square had the top square cut in half with a diagonal line.
Got one of these in the States...back in the mid 80's, our family vacations were road trips to Spokane or Seattle...saved paying state tax being an Alberta resident (still can I think)...as a result got a lot of electronics there. Plus the selection was miles ahead for games for the Intellivision and Commodore...remember getting a Yamaha keyboard that was $400 here in Eatons, and was $149 at Kmart in Spokane.
Also got our first computer in 1984 in Seattle (at Javco), the next year, got the also pictured 1541 disk drive.
Speaking of music...Coca Cola Countdown Friday evening, in the 90's, when Erica and Dan Gallagher would host...then went into weird Electric Circus at 7pm.

I remember that feeling when you finally got your Consumers Distributing catalogue in the mail and you'd spend hours looking at what you wanted to get.
