How has Jones earned his PP time? Offensively he's challenged. Guy has had two of the best chances the Flames have had and with half the net open put the puck in the goaltender's bread basket on one and missed the net completely on the other.

Shots are 23-13 Calgary and Aaron Ward is going off about the Flames not being able to penetrate the neutral zone and get anything going. Interesting.

Jones was clearly a step behind Backlund and Hudler on that PP what a waste.

His spot seems to be left open on the PP. All he'd have to do is stand where Hudler was and shoot. But I think Hartley is old school enough not to give an AHL guy PP time before giving the others a chance first.

I didn't say Jones earned his, I dont think he should be there either. Im not defending Jones being out there. However, I would imagine his +300 NHL games played and 80 goals vs 1st Granlund's 1st career game and 0 career points factor into the decision.

Backlund played more then 10 games with McGratton and Westgarth, when he fought his way off that line, Colborne was sentenced to the 4th line in his place. Granlund has been fine, but in a merit system Granlund has done nothing to earn a role on the PP unit

Jones has been good tonight, no issue with him. Backlund continues to impress, real strong game from him. Granlund had been good, nice defensive effort as well.

Good game so far.

Good highlight package, Olli scores, Jagr scores #699 and the Oilers are losing.

The Flames have had stretches where they have dominated play so I also found those comments odd.
