Poor Lundqvist.
This has been a textbook "how to play hockey" game by Canada. Amazing.

Hard to believe Latvia was Canada's only legitimate threat at taking the gold medal. Must have been a preparation thing, since Babcock knew what to expect from the better teams.

Nicklas Backstrom misses gold medal game over use of banned substance: Source
Quote:
Sweden’s star center Nicklas Backstrom wasn’t allowed to play in the gold medal game against Canada after testing positive for a banned substance.
An NHLPA source tells Yahoo Sports that Backstrom violated anti-doping rules after using an allergy medication. Some, like Claritin, contain pseudoephedrine, a banned substance by the IOC and the World Anti-Doping Federation
The source said he was pulled from the locker room before Sweden's pregame skate, after being announced in the starting lineup. The source indicated he was tested on Friday.

Voted for Kodos

They were complaining that women's hockey should be cut from the Olympics because it wasn't competitive enough.
It was more competitive than the men's tourney.
