I don't think we have too many forwards. Cammalleri is probably going to start on the IR.
That leaves:
Glencross-Stajan-Stempniak
Baertschi-Backlund-Jones
Galiardi-Monahan-Hudler
Bouma-Colborne-Jackman
Horak, McGrattan
Hartley will have a rotation and guys like Galiardi, Horak, Baertschi, Monahan, Colborne, etc will all take their turns sitting. McGrattan will cycle in when more toughness is needed.
When Cammalleri comes back we have a problem ... assuming we are healthy. But when is every player ever healthy? Plus there is a decent chance Monahan goes back to junior at some point.

The flames maynot have much for high end talent at centre right now but they have plenty of good young options to go forward with between backlund, Monahan, granlund, jankowski, cobourne, Reinhart, Horak, knight, and galiardi.

He is very excited. Whirlwind night/day, but he's very stoked.

It's a great opportunity for him, hope he can do well.
As to the nickname, I just read an article that described him as Calgary's "Jumbo Joe", hope they don't stick with that.

I am just happy we didn't get bent over a barrel as per usual when trading with Toronto...

Right now he's in the (Col)Borne Identity phase. What is his identity on this team? What will he do?
Hopefully he'll turn into the (Col)Borne Supremacy and be an impact player for the Flames and leave a (Col)Borne Legacy. I don't want to see him turn into the (Col)Borne Ultimatum where he has to play better if he wants to stay in the NHL.

Here's the take from Leafs Nation which actually has me more positive about this trade. If in fact his wrist is better, this could've been Burke's first official steal of a trade.
Apparently when playing healthy, Colborn e is point per game kinda player.

I still think we have a glut of forwards. One too many.
Would love to move a vet at the deadline for a high pick. Stempniak or Stajan would be ideal for that.

I have a feeling freeing up spots is on their agenda, if not now definitely by deadline which could work out quite well. Strip a few vets from the team without really stripping the team, maintain the right guys in leadership positions. I think just being in that position going into this year is a great start to a rebuild.

He has to show up to the rink every night, and if he's going to be an effective third or fourth liner to start using his size and leaning on people. These are the major holes in his game. He has a lower compete level and isn't overly physical. At least that's what I heard.

One to many isn't one to many. Because someone is always hurt. But I am sure we will see a bunch of veterans moved at the deadline.

Sounds like how some describe Jankowski. Is Colborne Jankowski+4 yrs?

Great article, thanks.
Extremely telling when you break down his performance over the period where he was injured vs healthy.
Anyone suggesting getting a healthy Colborne for a 4th round pick isn't a fantastic deal for Feaster, needs to take another look. 30G, 40A in 77 AHL games.

I don't think the skill and upside comparison is even close. And we don't know what Jankowski's physical compete level is going to be like until he grows into that frame of his.

It'll probably be Colsy. Hockey players are creative like that.
