Poll out there, if this was the worst loss ever.
If he escapes this, he's Teflon.

Really? Makes sense though, Olympiakos should have been a cake-walk.

I dont get it. Its the same team as last year with the addition of Juan Mata and occasionally/eventually Fellaini.
Did Ferguson rig the league last year to run away with it?

Or did he rig it this year to make himself look even better?
Moyes is pretty much at Hodgeson levels of disaster at this point. He's going to lose this team pretty soon, if he hasn't already. United have a massive financial commitment to Moyes, so it's quite the dilemma.

Either way would suggest a narcissism of unreal proportions, it seems more likely to me that Moyes is just that bad.

I think it was just a perfect storm of manager calamadies with City & Chelsea, and Liverpool & Arsenal still in the development stages with their new talent.

Mata behind Rooney is optimal for the future imo.
Sell RVP.

I think you're right, along with the fact that United's squad are now a year older, more injured and less disciplined.

Moyes' downfall will be continuing to play Ashley Young and never playing Shinji Kagawa

Oh ya, I was only joking about rigging anything. Moyes has just been terrible. I guess that's what happens when you spend your whole transfer budget on two players who play in Rooney's position.

I would say that last season was probably as a whole the lowest standard ever.
City were a gong show, everyone else was regrouping.

I would hope or expect there is something in the contract to get rid of him for a set cost. If not. I would chip in.

I don't know if there would be an out clause in the contract. Giving him a 6 year, 30 mil contract was all about retaining stability at the club. An out clause would be going against that idea.
Firing him now could cost the 25+ million left on his contract, the multiple millions still left on his staff's contracts, all while still paying Fergie's staff that Moyes got rid of. It's hard to imagine paying another new manager and his staff on top of that.
Of course it is possible there is an out clause that would cut a chunk off of that total, but it's still an enormous amount.
