Matt Stajan gets pushed off the puck way too easily too, but he still gets ice time. That isn't a very good excuse. Stajan should take over the Bambi nickname from Adam Pardy. The number of times he falls down and gets knocked down during a game is ridiculous.

Stajan and Bouw have been the team MVP's this year in my opinion. Game in and game out they are the Flames best players.

I don´t know. Don´t get me wrong, the lineup is far from being great or even good but it doesn´t explain these meltdowns and generally lack of work ethic. This is not a team, it´s a bunch of individuals and has been that way for the last 3 seasons. And it doesn´t help that Iginla, the captain, has taken a vacation the first quarter of the season also the last past 3 seasons- not a very good example for rest of the team. And the team has definately followed his example.

Bottom line is, when you look at the lineup, I don´t think it has ever during the last 3 (now 4) seasons performed at the level they could have. Whether they could have made to playoffs, I don´t know, but we haven´t seen a real team out there for years.

I think to an extent we're going in circles here. If the lineup lacks work ethic, then that's an issue of the lineup. So the lineup isn't good enough. You need more than offensive skill to succeed and they don't even have an exceptional amount of that.

Given our ridiculous organizational depth at center it`s a good thing we didn`t re-sign ufa Jokinen, a bona fide 1st-2nd line center who would have signed here for $4mil. Good thing the myopic management listened to fans wish for change for the sake of change and instead decided to pursue wildcat unproven KHL signings and 1st round draft pick risking offersheets.

You're not saying you wish we would have signe Jokinen so his $4 million dollar salary could have had his 7 points and -10 with us are you?

I wish we could just keep the team the same as it was 2 years ago, that time we were almost really close!

Ok, well since we can't turn back time and have that awesome team from 2 years ago.... Let's keep this team the exact same way it is now, they seem to be doing good.... maybe bring in another older guy who used to play here.
