Some noteable post-game Nik Lewis quotes; no controversy this time:

Quote:
So the Stamps are one win away (sorry to keep this brief; have a plane to catch) from a second Grey Cup title in five years, and I think it personifies where this team is at that Nik Lewis, who was held to one catch for four yards, was just fine with his offensive output.

“Hey, I’m just enjoying watching Romby score deep balls, Marquay, Mo Price — I’m a fan of theirs,” said Lewis. “They’re looking amazing out there, and Cornish is making big runs. Who do you focus on? At the beginning of the year, people said we couldn’t win if I didn’t go off (and make plays). I haven’t done anything in two weeks.”

Yes, but Lewis was there when the Stamps needed him — on the Lions’ onside kick attempt, it was Lewis who made the catch to snuff out any hopes of a Lions comeback.

“Hey,” said Lewis with a laugh. “My most important catch all day.”

I have to give props to Glenn, I didn't think the Stamps stood a chance against BC with him in at QB - he sure proved me wrong.

Fantastic game from him, and nice to see Cornish dominate BC on the ground too - that final 1st down he got to seal the win - pure beast mode.

I think Mayo at MLB was actually a boon to the Stamps, I don't think a 75% Simpson would have been able to contain Harris the way Mayo did.

Even though it worked out in the best possible way, can I still disagree with the call? Cause I kind of still do.

That's why they call it a gamble. I thought it was a gutsy call and obviously Dickenson and the offensive crew been seeing something all night that prompt them to gamble. Besides if it works for BC earlier, they figure it might work for them too.

I am still ticked off that the play was not ruled as a TD. We almost missed an opportunity there because Mitchell were stopped twice and almost did not make the last dive.

I never doubted Double D. I mentioned before that he is one of the best OC in the CFL when someone keeps saying he is the worst and he should get fired. I'll give DD a couple of more years as an OC then for sure he will move on as a head coach one day. I wouldn't be surprise if Ottawa try to snag him.

How funny will it be when we win the Grey Cup and Glenn looses the starting gig for next season

He may get a few calls from Trent Dilfer

This really makes me miss hockey even less. This Stamps team is showing heart and character and desire and mental toughness that we haven't seen at the dome since 2004.

The players can stay locked out, I'm loving these Stampeders

There's one more game left in the season.

Stamps in the Grey Cup; Hitmen first in their Division, second in the Conference by 1 point with games in hand; Heat first in their Division, second in the Conference (and league) by 1 point with a game in hand.

Except for the actual Calgary Flames, things are pretty good right now in the life of the Calgary Flames Limited Partnership.

What a season of destiny this has truly been for Kevin Glenn.

Now, finally, go win the big one.

This is your team.

Excellent win from the Stamps. I also like our shot against the Argo's over the Al's.

Going to be a fun game next week.

Great November for troutman - Giants win the World Series, Obama, Patriots in first place, and all of the above.

Good thing these guys were in the building to help the Lions cope with loss.

Late to the party I realize, but I just have to add that living out here and listening to the Team 1040 all week, it was pretty clear that all the pundits thought the Lions would win this game easily. Just made it all that much sweeter.

/Now go capture the big prize Stamps.

Two plays on my mind that are in the highlights, but still probably underappreciated:

the 2nd and long shovel pass to Cornish for the first down, that set up the TD pass on the next play.

On Cornish's clinching first down run, he shoves his own offensive lineman into the only BC blocker to have a chance to stop him. Absolutely love it.

Danny Barrett's hands hadn't yet dethawed from leading the Stamps to the 1991 GC game, the first in 20 years, and Ryckman had already bought Flutie from Murray Pezim.

That was the best move ever in franchise history. Even though Ryckman lied to Flutie and ripped him off.

Danny Barrett was the 90s Kevin Glenn.

Go long PeeWee!!! Go Long!!
