26 save shutout for Gillies in a 3-0 win for Providence over Maine. No points for Janko.

Ryan Howse scores his first ECHL goal as Utah and Idaho are tied 2-2 midway through the 2nd period.

Has Jankowski gotten any points since his second game?

I'm getting a little concerned over the play of Brossoit. I think the Flames need to get him out of Edmonton.
Also a little concerning that Jankowski hasn't been producing lately either.

Janko doesn't look bad in Providence. I watched the game today. He's young. Really young. Third youngest kid in the NCAA. His learning curve will be steep this season. Keep your expectations in check.

He's also taking a huge step up in competition. He'll have some growing pains and I'm just glad he went the college route so he has the time and the competition to make him work.

I'd have thought Jankowski would have gotten some points against Maine this weekend, though. Awful team. Just a little disappointed.
Though, Gillies may be our best performing 2012 draft pick right now. But you never know with goalies, as we're seeing right now with Brossoit.

Matt Deblouw is doing well for Michigan State.
Ryan Culkin is doing very well in Quebec.
Coda Gordon is doing well in Swift Current.
Patrick Sieloff is doing well in Windsor.
The 2012 class is very good.

Yeah, Broissoit is not having a good year, really since the Memorial Cup it hasn't been good for him. Jankowski it's way too early to be worried at this point obviously, but I'd either like to see him getting some points or learning the duties of a Centre, and I think he's playing wing in Providence still right?

Much like we shouldn't be overly excited about anyone early in a season, we shouldn't be too disappointed this early either. Small sample sizes can make anyone, even Sidney Crosby, look bad.
Except Baertschi, that kid is baller!

If I remember correctly, Gaudreau was hit-and-miss through the first third of the NCAA season last year. I agree, it is much too early to gauge Jankowski's future potential based on the handful of games he has played so far.

No one should be expecting much from Jankowski this year. If he gets 20-30 points, that's amazing. The facts of the matter are that he's freshly 18, 170 pounds, and gone from playing 15-17 year olds to 18-24 year olds.
This is a year for development for his body and conditioning. We'll see what this kid is really made of next year when he's filled out and understands the rigours of the NCAA.

Jankowski is playing the top line as a freshman despite being under developed and one of the youngest players in the NCAA. And he is producing at a 0.5 PPG pace and has apparently looked like he belongs. Not to mention we are 6-games in. Why would we be worried?

went to the PC game last night. Jankowski did not overly wow me but i thought he looked good. He was more physical than i thought he would be. not laying huge body checks but rubbing people off into the boards and playin hard in the corners. he did however take a stupid penalty in the corner but he was battling hard(think it was a holding call). My first time seeing him and you could tell he was skilled. looks like the coach opened up the offense a little more with him being there which is nice.
not a goalie expert but Gillies looked really strong to me. he looked solid positioning wise. looked confident in the net. better at playing the puck than you would expect from a freshamn goalie coming in. he had a really easy workload for the second period but made a huge save to keep it 2-0 at one point.
hope you enjoy. looking forward to giving more throughout the season

To quiet any worries about Jankowski. The fact that he is fitting in like he is a very good sign for someone who is one of the youngest players in the NCAA.

Bill Arnold opens the scoring for BC against UML.
Could he be our 3rd line centre for the future?
Now has an assist on the 2nd goal.
Another assist. 3 points.
