Jodie Foster comes out of the closet and Lance Armstrong admits to using steroids in the same week? I wonder what the next shocker will be? Maybe OJ actually was guilty?

Knowing that Lance Armstrong cheated has made me lose respect but some has been gained back by admitting he cheated and coming clean. Good on him to admit his mistake and hopefully he can move on.

I don't think he had a choice. He needs cash and i'm sure he didn't volunteer his time with Oprah.
He met with the people in charge of Livestrong and didn't admit to them that he ever cheated. He's still a dbag.

I just pretended she wasn't when she was showing all that cleavage in panic room. That and focusing on her boobs was great for deflecting attention from that god awful acting by Kristen Stewart.

@TSNDaveHodge: I'm so used to not believing Lance Armstrong that I now think he rode clean.

Seems like a fairly short-term view though. He's going to be buried under a pile of lawsuits now.
Maybe no perjury though? Statute of limitation passed? (Too bad I guess)

Oprah says she didn't pay him, and I believe her. Reports say he has about 100 million dollars, but people are sure lining up to sue him.
This confession came too late for it to help him in any way. He was pretty much found guilty already this year, and from what we know so far he really reeks of being sorry he was caught not for what he did.
I don't think any of the baseball players ruined a bunch of other people's lives along the way to the same extent that Armstrong did. So even with his confession, my opinion of him is at least a couple of notches below the baseball players.
It seems to me his motivation for coming clean was to try to move on in his life, since it didn't seem like people were going to leave him alone until he did. That and maybe trying to get reinstated for triathlons and such. Again acting in his own best interest.

I hope this never happens.
He is a dirt bag and should be held up for ridicule

My guess is Armstrong is hoping that eventually, now that he has admitted it so taken away the interest, Cycling will decide to reinstate everyone and just call the previous one hundred years the drug era, essentially everyone involved was doping so in some ways it makes more sense.

Pretty sure Armstrong is a raging sociopath.

People worth a 100 million never really go broke. To them broke is a pension fund of 1 million a year.

Dick Pound indicates that Cycling might not be invited to the next olympics
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/spor...-1226554880383
Lance Armstrong might do more damage to the sport of cycling then the Black Sox scandal did to baseball

It would be ironic if one of the worlds most corrupt sporting bodies banned one of the worlds most drugged sports when it had finally seemed to get serious and cleaned itself up some.

The funny thing is that Dick Pound has a new pet project every year, it wasn't that long ago that he accussed pro hockey of being rife with Steroid abuse and that there was systematic under reporting of failed tests in the NHL.
Cycling is the new big thing in terms of dirty sports, at least until the NFL gets to send a dream team to the Olympics.
