He's really looking unstoppable. Killed Nadal in that 3rd set.
So updated top #3
#1 Nadal 12630
#2 Djokovic 8710
#3 Federer 8280
For the next tournament in Miami, 360 points drops off of Nadal's total. Only 10 drops off of Djokovic's. Another opportunity to make up ground.

And speaking of rankings, Rebecca Marino will start the week at #58. Awesome to see.

And just like that, Marino is eliminated from qualifying 6-1, 7-5
As for some better news, it is now confirmed that Raonic will be the #31 seed in the tournament. This means he gets a 1st round bye and will play an unseeded player in the 2nd round. Guys to avoid in the 2nd round would definitely be Del Potro and Harrison.

haha Ivo tweeted "Woke up to great news that I got a WC into Main draw which is more than I asked for. Thank you @ seopen. I better go book a practice court. "
The draw is out!

Tough draw for Raonic I think.
After the 2nd round he has to go #6 Ferrer, #12 Wavwrinka, #4 Soderling
In the 2nd round he gets either Starace of Italy or Devvarman of India. Devvarman is the more dangerous of the two having made it to the 4th round at Indian Wells losing a close match to Nadal.
Edit: some other observations.. Nadal and Federer are in the same half. They could meet in a semifinal for the first time in awhile.
#5 Murray goes into #2 Djokovic's quarter.

Dubois is eliminated 3-6, 7-6, 6-3
This is like Black Monday for Canadians.

Will Fed ever be number one again?..I think his time is up, still an awesome player but is cooling off.

In the end, it's Dancevic that does Canada proud. Wins his 1st qualifying match against the #5 seed 7-6, 6-1.
--------
I believe Federer is done. He's nearly 30 and Nadal/Djokovic are better than him now. Plus there are others on the rise. Not sure Federer can win another GS.

I'd say this is it. The players coming through the ranks right now are better than Federer. I'd love for him to win another slam, but I just don't think it is possible. As said above, both Djokovic and Nadal are just too strong.
He's had an unforgettable run and did so much for tennis. I could go on...but it's not like he's retiring or anything yet, so I'll leave the sob stories for then.

Federer has at least 2 more grand slams in him. I bet he gets at least one this year.

Dancevic out of qualifying again at the final hurdle.
Lost 6-1, 1-6, 7-5.
The 8 points he gains does put him back into the top 200 I think.

Dancevic is just so damned inconsistent. It would be great to see a second singles player step up into the top 100 but him and Polansky can't seem to break through.
I did notice that Pospisil from the Davis Cup made the semis of a Challenger event a week ago and picked up 50 spots in the rankings. He doesn't play alot of tournaments but he has made it through at least 3 rounds in every tournament he's played this year and is only 20.
Maybe he will be the guy who breaks through and becomes Raonic's Davis Cup singles partner in the big matches.

As expected Devvarman defeated Starace easily and will be Raonic's first opponent in the 2nd round. Will probably go on Friday.
This will be a tough match. Devvarman played very well at Indian Wells last week.

Hopefully Raonic can get past the second round, the last match against Ferrer was such a great battle, though he didn't look at his best at Indian Wells.
OT, Vasek Pospisil has been blogging for Love Means Nothing and it's kinda entertaining if you're looking for reading on this Canadian tennisless, Flames got their butts kicked last night Thursday.

I would love to see another Djokovic-Nadal final. Murray vs Djokovic in potential quarters, but it's a question mark if Murray will make it there in the first place.

Verdasco lost too! He loses 170 points!
Murray doesn't lose any points, he lost at this stage in Miami last year too!
