We could always hope that when it topples over it crushes a few Canucks fans in the process.

McGrattan's pretty tough; I'm pretty sure his statue could beat up a lot of people.

Bieksa could face ban for hallway altercation
Quote:
Could Vancouver defenceman Kevin Bieksa be facing supplementary discipline alongside his head coach?
An eagle-eyed Flames fan on CalgaryPuck.com spotted a head poking out of a doorway near the back of the corridor leading from the ice at Rogers Arena to the Calgary Flames dressing room on Saturday night, and that head belonged to Canucks defenceman Kevin Bieksa.
Brendan Shanahan, Director of Player Safety for the NHL, was not immediately available for comment, but Sportsnet has learned that the NHL is aware of Bieksa’s proximity to this altercation. It is quite possible that he would face a minimum of a fine, and perhaps a suspension for putting himself in the position to meet the Flames in their hallway as they passed by, and potentially escalating the altercation.

don't know when it started, but it ended an hour ago or so.
Ben Kuzma @benkuzma
Torts leaves his NYC hearing with Gillis. Now, we await coach's suspension fate. Do we get a video explanation from the commish? #canucks
good that the NHL is looking at Bieksa as well. Fine and suspend his ass as well.

I actually think somebody tweeted it along with a picture and somebody on CP just posted the tweet (apologies if that's wrong, whoever noticed Bieksa should get a lot of credit, especially if he's fined/suspended ). Somewhere in the GT or PGT, not sure ... but I remember it being posted yeah

I was the one that posted the picture first but I got the picture via Twitter. I got the tweet/picture from this guy. @matthewiwanyk He works for TSN 1260
@matthewiwanyk Don't see a lot of people mentioning Bieksa yapping with the Flames players outside the Flames dressing room.

Jschick88: Hilarious!! Well done fellow Flames fan!!
I hate Damien Cox but this is too rich not to share:
Damien Cox @DamoSpin 4m
Too funny. Sestito unwittingly reveals Torts actions completely pre-meditated.

Actually, the way Bieksa is playing these days, it's more punishment to the Canucks to keep him in the lineup. No problem with a fine though.

IMO, Hartley was pretty smart to put out his energy line up front to start the game. Torts over-reacted and we get an over-sensationalized, good old fashion brawl. Thing is, the Battle of Alberta sucks nowadays. The only emotion the Flames get is from from the diving team out in the west coast.
Just for playing the 4th line against the Nucks first line, I'd give Hartley a 10 year extension!

I love this whole thing, this is the highlight of the season for sure. I hope Torts gets a much deserved lengthy suspension and Bieksa gets some games as well.
What a bunch of tools on that team.

Lucky this came out now and not before the meeting with Bettman. I wonder if it contradicts what Torts said in his hearing.

Sestito did an interview today on the radio. I missed it but can safely assume the meathead shoved both feet right down his own throat and threw Torts under the bus, probably unintentionally too.

I would love to see video footage of that hearing, seeing Torts squirm in his chair and not be able to shoot down questions and snap at media & reporters with his self-righteous crap.
That said I hope he isn't forced into anger management. This whole situation was highly entertaining and no one was injured, well besides Nuck fans butts, which are now very hurt.
