And just like that he's off the coverage. He's not playing horrible, but to start off with an even and a bogey on a day when birdies are going down all around you will send you flying down the leaderboard very quickly.
Started hole one tied for 7th, now tied for 11th.

It is sad that the Canadians never seem to get better coverage even when they are playing well. Seems like everyone in the top 10 is getting coverage right now except for Graham.

It's too bad we couldn't get a major Canadian network to actually cover some major tournaments and not just simulcast. It would be neat to have a more Canadian dominated broadcast and actually watch our golfers golf instead of just hearing about them.

he's on the back nine where he's played much better all week.
2 par 5s. if he birdies both he can make some noise. A birdie here on 10 jumps him into a T-5th. If he eagles 10.....this could be exciting.
he just put it out 300 yards into the fairway with his drive. 295 to the hole.

Could Rickie Fowler come back and win this thing? What an incredible final round that would be for him.
EDIT: Oops, didn't see his day was done.

Hopefully he can make up a strokes in the last few holes here. He's now even on the day through 13.

Pretty good result for DeLaet.
This is already his best year since 2013 and 2014, when he was President's Cup material. he's already surpassed both 2015 and 2016 in earnings this year, even before factoring in today's top 10 in a major. This should bode well heading into the Fed Ex playoffs.
Also helps that he entered the clubhouse in 9th spot, but both Stroud (42 on the back 9) and Kisner (double bogey on 18) struggled down the stretch and now DeLaet finishes T-7! I wonder how much extra money that's worth...
He'll have to play his way into the Masters. Had he finished 2 strokes higher he'd have qualified based on his finish at a major. (Top 4 get entries)
As for the web.com tour, great news there as Canadian Ben Silverman birdies 18 to grab his first career win!

I actually found this very interesting, but despite seemingly being in an era loaded with young talent, the ratings are not doing so well.

I get that some of this is cutting the cord of course, but those are some ugly looking numbers. I wonder if the fact these guys are all buddy buddy and not true rivals like say Tiger and Phil is hurting things.

I doubt it, you likely nailed it with the first guess, Sports are getting hammered in ratings because of cord cutting, and it's really picked up steam this season.
If you're looking for a side reason that's actually golf related it's not likely the friendliness as much as no one is really stepping up and dominating for a long time. Each new young guy is being billed a dominator with unlimited potential after a championship or three and then they fall back a bit to rest of the pack.

For the record, they both found the fairway here. Dustin though lol.

Adam Hadwin tied for second heading into the final day. TSN ripping the US coverage hard for literally not giving them a single shot of Hadwin the entire day to show on sportscentre, lol.
I know we've ripped golf coverage enough on here, but how ridiculous has it gotten? A guy shoots -6 on the day and roars up to second place and you not only don't follow him closely but can't even muster up a couple of non-live shots? Like, c'mon.

It was only the second round today, so that may explain why they didn't show any of his shots. This tournament is the odd ball Monday finish for the labour day weekend.

Um. Hadwin's round ended 2 hours before tv coverage started. Maybe tsn should be ripping themselves for not really having a clue about golf. Hadwin actually was in many weekday feature groups the month it so around when he had his 59 and his win, including at the Masters. I am not really buying that Canadians get any more or less coverage than anyone else.
