Frustrating game for Ryu. Not hitting his spots and then giving up home runs to guys like Fraley and Long Jr.

I just don't understand the need to re-build Shatwood. He plain sucks. May as well call up some other random arms from the farm and give them a go. Worse is his attitude, the guy gave up 2 runs, walked 2, and got 2 outs and looked awful again yet he was jawing at montoya to leave him in there?

My guess is that Ryu is battling fatigue. Maybe go back to a 6 day rotation for a few weeks?

Ugh. Just doesn't feel like they're going to make a run this season.
The pitching simply isn't good enough and they can't get on a roll against average to good teams.
Sucks because it feels like they are wasting an MVP caliber season from Vladdy and Semien is only signed for this season and kicking total ass.

Hopefully they keep making moves that help now and in the future. Keep adding quality MLB relievers with control so that they're at least stacked going into next season if they fall short this season.
I read that the Jays are after the Pirates closer Richard Rodriguez. There is another guy that like Cimber is under team control for multiple years.

This year feels like 2015 to be honest. Hitting is good, pitching is okay to not good, and the team just seems to be underperforming. I mean, the Jays have 3 of the 9 starting spots in the All Star game and they are only 3 games over .500? Seems hard to understand. I think there is a luck factor there for sure (Fangraphs estimates the Jays have lost 3-4 more games than they "should have").
Anyway, I guess I'm thinking we could see 2015 again if there is a shot in the arm, David Price type acquisition (2015 Price of course) by the deadline. The team is good enough, but just needs an injection of confidence in the pitching. Otherwise, I think the playoffs are missed and the post mortem is the sum was less than the parts.
