Brazil.

But I hate this particular Brazil team so I'm not totally sad to see them lose. I latched on to Uruguay cause I like their history and their fighting spirit (the little guy). It's not really Uruguay unless there's a red card involved.

But generally I've been pretty neutral this tournament, just enjoying the games

The England team needs a serious overhaul. If the players had shown even half the passion of the German team they might have done something in this tournament. There was a prevailing sense of entitlement from the England team. They looked to be simply going through the motions.

And don't give me the "they play too much excuse" excuse that I've heard been spouted either. The likes of Dirk Kuyt and Wesley Schneider play just the same amount of games as Wayne Rooney and John Terry. The former have had outstanding World cup's while the latter, the less said the better.

Kudos to Germany for finding things to do between matches to stave off the boredom!
Amen to this!

Idiot on the field already!

Edit: Agree with what you guys are saying re: England boredum claims. Also they have to get Gerrard out of Lampard's way, Stevey played 3 minutes of useful football all tournament. More than Wayne's 0, but that's no excuse!

Kinda playing out the way you'd expect, Spain holding the ball and Germany occasionally countering. Germany's D looks well organized compared to Spain's who looked a little sketchy on those corners but the Spanish midfield is owning the centre of the park.

Spain needs to make something from all the possession or they will regret it in the 2nd half.

With all due respect to England, even if you could convince Barca the hardest part of that battle would be convincing the guy to move from Barcelona to the UK for the winter

Ramos definitely caught him but he went down far too easily. Good non-call IMO.

No ball on the tackle but I didn't think he was inside the area either way, clipped him just on the edge.

Spain is owning this game right now. Germany look outgunned in the first 15 of this half.

very nice, had been a week or so since I'd seen you take a shot at soccer in the world cup thread, was starting to wonder if you'd given up
