I've done that once and was right when I did it.

Twice, by my count (one in the FoI forum), and you were wrong both times.

What a frustrating game. I know at the start of the year McDaniels referred to it as the "amoeba offence" and that it would adapt for each game. Can we all be honest and call it what it is? "Screen pass constantly offence". Doesn't have the same ring to it though I guess.

Sunday night game next week will be the Bengals and Jets. Who made that terrible decision?

Really? There's not supposed to be a Sunday Night game next week.
I guess NY makes sense.. NY = ratings
And they're going to talk about Chris Henry to death.
The games next week kinda suck.
Can't have the Cowboys again...
Steelers - Dolphins maybe?

Cards/Packers, Vikings/Giants, Steelers/Dolphins, Texans/Patriots are all more appealing to me.

Cards/Packers - neither team is playing for anything - they may play again the following week.
Texans/Pats - Pats will rest everyone and let Texans win
Giants are eliminated..
Steelers/Dolphins would be my choice.

By Sunday night this game could mean nothing depending on results.
With no obvious choice the game they chose appears to be as good as any with the Jets controlling their own finish.

I know the chances are slim but here is what has to happen for the Fins to make the playoffs:
1. Beat Pittsburgh
2. Cincinnati must beat the 8-7 New York Jets
3. Oakland must beat 8-7 Baltimore
4.New England must beat 8-7 Houston
5. Cleveland must beat 7-8 Jacksonville
If all those results occurred, the Dolphins would finish 8-8, claim the sixth seed in the AFC and play third-seeded New England in the first round.

You honestly did not see the ball go from Maclin's right hand to his left??

Stranger things have happened but man did we let it slip away today. Everything fell into place the jags lost, the titans lost and the ravens lost. We would have been sitting pretty going into next week-end.
Today's loss hurts, I love the team so much that waiting another 9 months for next season just seems like an eternity.

And the way they lost today hurts, it was like they were not ready to play. The Texans just man handled them in the first half.
9 months is an eternity but I think I will take the fact that I believe they finally have a long term QB. I think that they will target a big WR as the #1 priority in free agency.

Preliminary playoff scenarios for Denver:
Now, the easiest way for the Broncos to get in to the playoffs - at least in terms of remembering it for the week - involves the following scenario -
1. Broncos Win - Beating the Chiefs is a requirement. Yes, there are ways for the Broncos to get in at 8-8, but no need to get into that right now.
AND....
2. Two of the following teams lose their game -- Baltimore @ Oakland; Pittsburgh @ Miami; or New York Jets Vs. Cincinnati.
That will get it done. Yes, there is a scenario where the Broncos get in if one of those teams lose and the Texans beat New England, but again, I am going for ease of remembering.
This is pretty easy too - if the Jets and Ravens win, they are in the Playoffs, regardless of what Denver, or anyone else does.
I can certainly see any or all 3 of those teams losing their games, but I can see all three winning too. Ugly stuff.

Well looks like there will be even more people who hate the Colts after today.
Personally I would've loved to have seen them play, but against the best defence's in football and a very physical one at that, your playing with fire. I can say without doubt though that if the Colts lose in the playoffs it's not because they didn't play Peyton a quarter and a half more in a week 16 game.
I could care less about the other teams bitching about the Colts not playing strait through. Take care of your own business and don't put yourself in the situation of relying on other teams to lose.
Manning is going to win another MVP this year. There's not a singe player in the NFL that has more value to his team when not playing then Peyton.

The other big thing for me is that the Fins showed they can actually play offence without needing the wildcat. The wildcat was just a way for the Fins to get both Ronnie and Ricky on the field at the sametime. Once next season starts, I think they will use it from time to time but I expect to see a much more conventional offence.

That's the problem for me. Playoff game for each of these teams. Two of them that are teams that have playoff experience. It wouldn't be suprising to see all three win their games.
But I just want Broncos to friggin beat the Chiefs then look at that. We need to at least win this game we should have. Losing to Raiders effed everything up.

Nope, but even if he did the rules state he's allowed to as long as he controls the ball during the process.
That's frame by frame and it looks to me like he brings the ball in with two hands.

Absolutely, no argument from me there....but at the same time, this move prompts me to root against them with everything I can muster. Nothing wrong with that at all either.

After watching a little ESPN I think I'm going to take a detox on any NFL coverage for the next two days. It's hilarious how some experts are just waiting for one thing to go wrong to just jump on a team.
