Sheffield has been horrible. But he's almost so bad it's working because the Jay's can't square him up to get the big hit. That's what 8 base runners already? And only 1 run

Holy hell. Anthony Kay with a very impressive cleanup job to keep the Jay's in it. 6-4 Mariners in a very ugly game so far.

That entire sequence with Kay striking out 3 consecutive batters these guys didn't call the game once.
Can anyone get this job? Is there no training at all and they just go to a local pub and find a few people?

Yeah, I think Kay is about to make Thornton superfluous as a long man/spot starter. I've liked what I've seen recently...but it is just that, recent good play. He could turn into a pumpkin at the drop of a hat.

Watching this is like me watching the game with a couple buddies of mine. Zero expertise and just shooting the ####. I wouldn't be surprised to hear them talk about their spouses or vacation plans next. Really unprofessional.
