Editor's note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S

The word 'the'. Technically he won 'a' New Hampshire primary, since there are really two of them. Rest of the headline checks out, though.

On the Dem side of things Sanders picks up 13 delegates and Clinton picks up 7. That leaves the count at Sanders 34 and Clinton 30. Super Tuesday will be interesting.
According to AP: (need 1,237 to win)
Trump has 17
Cruz has 10
Rubio has 7
Kasich has 4
Bush has 3
Carson has 3
Fiorna has 1
Christie has 0

For the Democrats (need 2,382 to win)
Clinton has 394 made up of Pledged and Super delegates (how does that work?)
Sanders has 42

Yeah, that's completely uncalled for. No way Bernie deserves that.

Hahaha, talking head just called the choice between Trump and Cruz like the choice between getting a punch in the nose or a knee to the groin.

See here's the problem... Cruz isn't any better, Rubio was the leading sane guy after Iowa, Kasich after New Hampshire, Jeb still has a lot of money. So who has any incentive to drop? No one that'll move the needle.

Just my thoughts but I don't think Trump can get enough delegates before the convention. If that happens than a bunch of horsetrading goes on to find a candidate they can agree on. Trump could come out of that the winner if he gets say Cruz's and Rubio's support.

Christie could be the next to drop out. He'd probably throw his support behind Bush or Kasich but with no delegates I don't know how much it would be worth.

oh yeah, Rubio's not sane either.

The only three candidates from the GOP that I'd be somewhat comfortable with are Kusich, Bush and Christie. Christie's corrupt but I could put up with that more than I could put up with these religious nuts who want to turn the government over to the Koch brothers and their ilk.

From what I've read Rubio's background is just as corrupt and he's a nutter as well.

Well maybe Rubio won't be the establishment guy after all. He almost needs a win in South Carolina to move on. Jeb gets the Rubio bounce this week with his 4th place finish exceeding expectations, and maybe he's back in play to lose to Trump or Cruz. Because with it obvious none of the establishment candidates inspires anything but meh, it's hard to see any of them eventually getting it together.

Thanks for the update. I went off the numbers posted on the results page of each primary, which I guess can float a bit. The day after results of Iowa had Clinton 23 and Sanders 22, but that went down to 23/21. The Super Delegate number is kind of bull#### as they are very liquid. Clinton had a big lead in Super Delegates early on when she lost to Obama. They can switch positions at a moments notice and never committed until the actual ballot is cast. I try not to count them when things are close.

Stein, Sanders, 96-97%

Clinton 88%

Johnson 56%

Trump, Cruz 24-28%
Kasich, Christie 18-19%

Carson, Fiorentina, Bush 11-13%
Rubio 8%

About what I'd expect. All other candidates could be from any Nordic election, except the Republicans who are just nuts.

Clinton is mostly clearly more hawkish than me (drones, surveillance, patriot act etc), the rest of the differences is minor stuff.

I'm having a hard time imagining any of the front runners winning at this point. I'll bet someone $5 that the next president is none of (Sanders,Clinton,Trump,Rubio or Cruz).

No. It's childish to expect that every election should have a candidate that agrees with you on every important topic. There's too many important topics.

The only good reason to not vote is if there's no real difference.

As I said, I think the Democrats have two pretty good candidates. I like Sanders more, but I don't mind Clinton either.

(Not that I have a vote in US elections. But it's always interesting.)

EDIT: Besides. I'm a white middle-aged guy that isn't THAT politically active and has no secrets worth mentioning. It's not like surveillance really touches me personally, let alone drone bombing on the other side of the wrold.

I wasn't quite expecting Sanders to completely and squarely kick Hillary in the a%% last night like he did. But I think she takes SC and Nevada big. Those are her backyards and her infrastructure is there.

The big concern is that woman voters went with Sander's in droves last night, and one exit poll showed that Hillary has serious trust issues going forward and that could hurt her.

Sanders has to really play the long game here, I don't think he's got the money or infrastructure to fight in every primary.

But for Hillary this isn't good.
