Looks similar to the end zones in Calgary for a Roughnecks game that draws about 10,000.
Though I love the separation in the upper bowls. Three layers, and the middle layer is obviously overpriced.

10,075 for Minnesota, and there are a lot of Minnesotans in Phoenix in the winter.
How bad would it be if PHO was not playing well?

When I was down there in November they were playing the ducks in a Saturday night game. There was also a Cards game on Sunday so I am sure that helped. The upperdeck was packed and sold out. The lower bowl was packed for the first 10-15 rows and then anything above that was empty. It was quite the interesting seating arrangements

Went to the Calgary Roughnecks (NLL)home opener tonight and they announced an attendance of 11,232.
It is shameful that the Coyotes or any team in the NHL really can keep announcing attendances over 10,000 when their building looks like it does in Roughnecks post.
I feel bad for the people in Glendale who don't go to the games and are continuing to subsidize this mess.

Phoenix Coyotes Co-Owner, President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc announced today that the Coyotes and 100.7 KSLX will be holding CanadaFest, a concert featuring three Canadian classic rock bands including Bachman & Turner, Loverboy and special guest Trooper on Saturday, March 8 at Jobing.com Arena. The bands will perform starting at 7:30 p.m. following the Coyotes at the Washington Capitals game which will be shown on the video board from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
“We are excited to bring these great Canadian rock bands to the Valley to perform for all of our Coyotes fans and the many Canadians that will be in town that week for our games against Vancouver and Montreal,” said LeBlanc. “We hope that fans will take advantage of this great opportunity to come and watch two great hockey games and three fantastic classic Canadian rock bands.”
Fans will have an opportunity to purchase a combo package that provides a significant savings. The package will allow fans to attend either the Coyotes game versus the Vancouver Canucks (Tuesday, March 4) or the Montreal Canadiens game (Thursday, March 6) while also receiving an equal number of tickets to the Coyotes viewing party and CanadaFest concert event on Saturday, March 8. Tickets for the concert event will be $25, $35 and $46.50 and will go on sale to the public on Saturday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations or by calling 480-563-PUCK (7825) or by visiting PhoenixCoyotes.Com.

They should have saved that lineup for when the Oilers came to town - that would've been a tour package no self-respecting Edmontonian could pass up.

People have calculated at HF Boards that actual paid attendance is about 1,000 (or more) per game less than announced attendance (based on ticket surcharges collected):
http://www.glendaleaz.com/FollowYour...46&FundID=1780
http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...560693&page=23
Let's look at today's figures...
Ticket Surcharge-Hockey ($3/qualified ticket) = $718,438 (previously it was $691,934)
So, are all games then current through the last game against the Anaheim Ducks on January 11?
If so, then the 'announced' attendance was 13,289, but the surcharge change was only $26,502 which would be (based on MNNumbers comments and calculations) only 8,834 tickets/in attendance.
------
... and over the entire season so far, based on the hockey ticket surcharges, the average number of tickets is either 10,885 (if all regular season games are included), or 11,400 (if only 21 games are included). If pre-season games are included, then the average number of qualified tickets is considerably less.
------
Right now through Calgary game:
NHL shows 13006 avg
Glendale shows 11700 avg

I agree Bouw. Just because these bands have been relegated to the casino circuit in Canada, doesn't mean they should be sent down to play the failing NHL franchise market in the States, as well.
There should be a limit to how low these classic rock bands should have to go.

LOL, I had to google 3 of them. I knew Red Rider because of Tom Cochrane. So I googled others. Bring on Haywire, Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde, and Boulevard.

Yikes, only 12,307 for Vancouver. Deduct 1,000 comp tickets and maybe 3,000 Canuck fans, there are 8,000 locals buying tickets? I'm not sure things are getting better.

GENERAL FUND BUDGET BALANCING - Workshop Jan. 21/14
http://www.glendaleaz.com/Clerk/agen...12114-BW01.pdf
The forecast identified an annual structural deficit (estimated operating expenditures/
contingency in excess of operating revenue) in FY 14-15 through FY 16-17 averaging $14
million per year. Upon the elimination of the temporary sales tax (FY 17-18), the annual
structural deficit averages $30 million per year.
As indicated on December 17, 2013, staff anticipates that significant measures must be
taken over the next two fiscal years. Measures include either revenue enhancements,
expenditure reductions, or a combination of the two.

Well all those in favour of Bettman keeping the team in Glendale, since all they needed was stable ownership, should be eating some crow.
