Lol...quite the coincidence. Disappears the day a bet is lost after talking a ridiculous amount of ####. If it went the other way you guys would be all over me don't lie.
If you look at the last couple pages though posters are trying to move on, everytime relevant information is shared you have a certain poster that is so butthurt he has to try and start ####. All time highs are obviously relevant, to discredit them because of currency is ridiculous coping obviously. And then when they inevitably hit its on to the next troll.
Its over, BTC and Crypto aren't going away...don't torture yourself by continuing to hate on it just because you miscalculated initially.

Did you have a head injury?
Are you blind?
Is English a third language?
Which one of these is the explanation as to why you continue to trot out this stupid falsification?

When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser
BTC is currently worth $128,573.00 Canadian dollars, the "tulip" debate is over...lets move on to actual relevant Crypto information.

How do all these exchanges keep the money available in case everyone wants to sell at the same time? I can see a pretty quick drop happening with lots of sell orders when it hits 100K US$.

That's like saying what if everyone tries to take their money out of the bank on the same day...its not a realistic worry (and they don't have it anyway lol)
The top BTC holders are doing everything they can currently raise capital to acquire more bitcoin. There certainly can and will be dips but it won't be from the holders that matter for long term success. Microstrategy wants to buy 48B worth of BTC over the next three years...they would love for us to sell and get a discount.
I have been saying this for years...every "crash" just gets the finite supply into stronger hands

So what's the end game there? If 50 to 100 owners control 95% of Bitcoin in 10 years, How does it have value then? Once it's hoarded, what's the general desire for it? Without intrinsic value, and because it isn't a required form of currency, where does it derive further value from?

3 people have more money than the bottom 175M americans combined
welcome to capitalism
It won't be 95% percent but it will be enough to stabilize the price without panic selling large volumes. You also need to get past this "intrinsic value" idea. Just because something is digital and isn’t tangible doesn’t mean it doesn’t have an intrinsic value, some examples would be intellectual property, rights, patents, and photos. Bitcoin is currently the 7th largest asset in the entire world and giving google and amazon a run.

All those things have value besides "it has value". What does owning a Bitcoin provide as a benefit, other than owning a Bitcoin? Can you explain in a way that isn't circular?
And look, it's fair enough to say "I have no idea, but it keeps going up and making me money, so that's all that matters." That's a perfectly good reason to own it, so long as you expect it to keep doing that.

They have value because someone says they have value...like anything else. There is value in the technology. There is no safer, faster, cheaper, anonymous, or more secure way to move say 2M of wealth than BTC.
If I wasn't convinced of BTC as a long term asset I would sell it and invest in XEQT or something. My strategy is and always will be do what the whales are doing even if on a smaller scale. I learned a long time a go that a handful of people run the world like it or not...you are either in or in the way.

There is value in cryptocurrency technology. Most other cryptos are better at doing what you described as the benefit of Bitcoin, so it's not unique, and is also not great at being a cryptocurrency. Logically it shouldn't be worth much, which is all I've ever been saying. But not much functions logically these days, so if you can make money off riding coat tails, well that's not necessarily a bad strategy as a small fish. Occasionally you can get eaten though.

Every 6 months I check in this thread, and it's the same circular arguments over and over. How do you guys have the energy for this?

The end game is keeping the hype up. You're not buying an asset, you're buying hype, and the hype has been incredibly profitable for those that have realized their gains.
There's no denying it's been an incredible investment for some but I can't get my head around the fact that it's a zero sum game. For every dollar realized there has been a dollar lost, so crypto as an asset has not generated any wealth, only redistributed it.

Right? But really unless you're crypto agnostic you're either
a) a believer - invested and need to convince others to invest because that's the only way to drive the price up and increase your investment or
b) a doubter - missed the boat and wish you didn't so you're trying to convince others to sell to drive the price down so you don't feel like you missed out
That's it. You're either in or in the way. Literally. And the ins and in-the-ways will argue until the end of time.
