I'm not a fan of submarine pitchers, they annoy me. Cimber doesn't get a lot of swing and miss either.
He's still an upgrade on what we have now though, and doesn't walk many guys so that's good.
Panik being gone is also good.

Ohtani has another bomb. 2 on the night and 28 on the season. Does the guy ever hit anything other than a HR? I think barring injury he'll runaway with the MVP just because of the pitching angle. It's a shame that the Angels are going to have another MVP player on that dumpster fire of a team.

Ohtani has to be MVP at this pace.
Vlad with an excellent play again though.

Marcus! Man, what a fantastic signing. Too bad he wasn't already locked up for a few more years.

Still cracks me up they call it the "foul" pole, but when you hit it...it's fair!

Angels have actually played better since Trout got hurt and Pujols got traded. They are 21-19 since the injury. With a few more tweaks I think they could be good. Need pitchers.

Winning is a lot more fun than losing.
I think I'm most excited about the FO finally making some moves to shore up the pen and get this team really rolling.

Man if this team can have the bullpen steady out they might go on a run with the easier schedule.
Two huge series with Rays coming up though before the break.

Random thought.
With Panik traded who is the emergency catcher?

Given all the other positions he’s played this year that he’s not suited to, my guess is Biggio.

Castro going down makes sense, plus he has options so it's an easy choice.
Payamps is a righty and Saucedo is a lefty, and after reading Stoeten mention that the Mariners feature a lefty heavy line up I guess it makes some sense to send down Payamps. However I just don't really get how highly the Jays value Trent Thornton who, imo, is worse than Payamps. Maybe they see Thornton as someone who can eat multiple innings in case of a starter blowing up. But still would rather have Joel in there instead of Thornton as I feel he as shown to be MLB calibre in the pen.

Thornton is really the only long reliever they have on the roster which is likely what saved his spot.

Yeah Thornton is the only clean up guy they got. Funny thing is they haven't really needed one all season. They never really get blown out early in games. So he's brought in for leverage situations to get some work in and boy does that suck.
