To be fair though, she only started looking that way when it was clear he wasn't dancing with her for her conversation... Before that she was enjoying the attention.

I can probably play next saturday, but not this saturday.
And Junk, dodgeball... I won't be joining a team this year because I didn't really have fun. It was part to do with our team being all rookies and pretty much sucking, but not sucking in a fun way like our softball team. Attendance was bad and you only play for an hour which makes the outing a bit of a pain in the butt to attend (almost seems like a waste of time and gas to drive somewhere far away and wreck your throwing arm for one hour, then be all sweaty while sitting in a pub afterward). One other thing I didn't like was that the games were at 8 or 9 or 10 pm and all over the SW. When I say all over, I mean Haysboro, Glenbrook, Lakeview, there was one night in Mayland Heights (yeah, NE)... And at the time, I lived in Auburn Bay. So it wasn't really the night I looked forward to, like sundays were this summer.
But don't let my opinion keep you from giving it a try. Alot of people have alot of fun playing dodgeball.
I think I want to join a floor hockey team this winter. If I'm only going to play a game for an hour, I want to play a fun game.
Is anyone on a rec league floor hockey team that needs a (skill level: not too bad but nothing to call the press about) dude?

I don't know if I'll be able to make it up to Cgy for a few weeks. I'll be too busy awesomming it out all over the place down here in Lethbridge. Sorry.

Just remember: when you're done being awesome for the night, go to the bathroom before you go to bed.

Redvan started a thread about that. A few of us like Slava and myself expressed interest.

Ok all, no game this Saturday, I don't think there is enough interest.
New date: Saturday Sept. 20 @ 12:30pm. Who can make it?

I think we will need a miracle to pull this off. I'm available that day but I know troutman is not good saturdays. What about a weeknight instead?

I second the weeknight motion. Also, we should have 25-35 people to draw from so let's just pick a date and get going here. It will be next to impossible to find a day that works for everyone. If people can't make it they can come to the next one.

Indeed.
I'm good for any day but Mondays. We'll do the best we can with the people we can get out. We'll also have to do one early next year during our spring training, just to avoid this in the future. heh.

Also,
Redvan and myself, along with a few other people, are heading out to the Vipers game tonight, hoping to cheer the Snakes onto a 2-0 series lead. Anyone who is up for it is welcome to join us.

Yeah, next Saturday doesn't work for me either. I'm good any weeknight as long as there isn't an event at the dome.

We would have to start the game at like 5:30 with the way daylight works now. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm still in the office at 5:30 pretty much every weekday.

I think a Saturday must be the right idea. You can't please everyone, but a weeknight I think will be harder to get a full roster out of either team.
troutman: what is more important, missing one week of pick up basketball or playing Central in a tirade laden death match?
I would be in for the 20th, but I believe we (SW) would be short Flameskickass and Rinkrat.

I could miss basketball for one week to prove our important point.
