The ending everyone expected. Ravens can thank Sam Koch for that one.

That was pretty much the equivalent of watching Calgary choke away a 5-0 lead to Chicago last year.

I didn't like it at all.

Ravens defense was gassed...cant believe they didnt give em a triple dose of Foster, especially way down in their own end.

Pretty much seals the fate of the Dolphins, and whoever finishes 2nd in the West and the South.

yeah I agree. Seemed like they just panicked. Texans defense made a good opening stand in overtime. Why not give them some Foster? Can't throw the ball on 1st and 2nd down on your own 8

Yeah, Ravens get a pick 6 in OT...cover the spread, yet they were in trouble to actually lose the game. Titans are never in their game, yet they beat the spread thanks to a last play TD. Gotta love NFL.

Well the Ravens dont look to be any sort of threat going down the stretch.

On a side note, I assume everyone has seen the Jets Coach "knee" the dolphins player.

I will preface the below by saying yes I heard he admitted it etc etc etc.

I hate the Jets and almost every other sports team affiliated with NYC but does it look like to anyone else that instead of kneeing the player he was bracing himself for a possible collision?

I have seen the replay quite a few times and each time I think to myself if he was going to knee him then I think it would look different. To me it looks as if that all the coaches who arent involved in the game are to stand on the sidelines like that. Now if you are standing there and you see this padded player running toward you and it looks like there might be a collision wouldnt the normal person try to brace himself.

I know the guy is your classic NYC Italian bafoon type so maybe he wouldnt do what the normal person would but I honestly dont think his intention was to knee him. To stand his ground if they guy were to run into him yes, but to knee him just seems like an odd thing to do.

I think the Jets are taking advantage of the rule to stand behind the white line and only just barely behind and if a player runs into them then its the players fault.

I think the reason he admitted it is because that is what he was told to say by the Jets. Alot of risk mitigation experts will tell you its better to be punched in the face once then spend the next 3 months getting poked with a needle.

I'm guessing because all wins aren't covers, and typically covers pay even money whereas sometimes a win will cost you $2 to win $1.

Because you have to give points as a favourite.

In church people pray for 7s, full houses and covers

There was actually some talk, and confirmation from other un-named teams, that it's not unknown for teams to tell guys to make a sort of human wall right off the white in order to obstruct gunners on punt coverage. Nobody could say for sure that the Jets are known to do this, but I guess it happens.

That said, he definitely extends his knee forward into Carroll, you don't brace yourself by jutting your knee out and initiating contact. He may well have been told to hold his ground in that position, and the fact that nobody moves seems pretty suspicious, but the additional act of sticking his knee out takes it to another level. My feeling is he was told to stand there, and given the oh so class filled culture that is the NY Jets honestly thought that sticking his knee out would get him a pat on the back from Ryan.

I'm a Dolphins fan, and I absolutely hate the Jets, so this may have been the sweetest victory ever, especially living in NYC. Jets fans are not only watching their team implode, they get to watch their team exposed for the scum that they are. The best part is the excuses being made for the coaches actions 'oh the player was out of bounds, he can't be out there' etc. that just expose the lack of knowledge and class the whole fan base has. So so sweet.

The real scum in the NFL is the Raiders. Scummy team, scummy fans, scummy city, scummy stadium.

Don't forget an owner who looks like he's been swimming in toxic waste for the last 25 years.

Even though they're an AFC East rival I've never really hated the Pats. The Spygate thing was pretty sleazy, and the Hoodie is hard to like, but I respect the way they play the game and the professional way they act the vast majority of the time.

It's funny that you view blatant cheating that gave an unfair advantage in a Super bowl as pretty sleazy, but tripping up a player on a punt as worse. I am glad the league disagrees with you there. With Spygate who knows how many games, seasons, etc... that effected. I think Belichek is an amazing coach who shouldn't of had to resort to cheating and would have won anyways, but that's one of the worst cases of cheating in recent NFL history if not the worst.

I think Sal Alosi should've been fired, unless he was ordered to stand there by the coaching staff. If he was then I understand only suspending him for the rest of the season. Zach Thomas seems to think that the wall was intentionally there and it is a form of cheating. Steve Tasker, probably the best gunner ever, said he doesn't think it's cheating and thinks a team is stupid not to do it. He used to get tripped up all the time because he would run out of bounds to get around the block.

Hah! Its kind of hard for me to hate a guy like Al. After I watched Full Color Football I got a new found respect for guys like him. Of course I hate the Raiders. But rivalries make sports fun.
