Sorry if this post annoys you, but damn if this isn't just still a banger of a song all these years later. I especially love the change in rhythm and tone.

Is this the first ever song about mental health? AND...it also happens to be one of the first, and also greatest, metal songs ever? That's a helluva trifecta.

The latest album by the Cure, Songs of a Lost World is incredible. Probably one of the best complete albums I've heard for a while. I always love it when artists that are entering their elder years can still make something that feels like an important artistic statement and not just retreading a legacy. Really good stuff, and a proper headphones type album that you want to absorb the whole thing in a sitting.
I’ve listened a couple of times, and nothing grabs me yet. I remember when Robert could write great pop songs. Mint Car was the last one.

Solid song
I also really like this banger

Was at my kid's hockey tournament, and the DJ was playing absolute old school bangers, including this one. A flood of teenage memories came through when i heard it, and you couldn't wipe the poop eating grin off my face the whole game after i heard it. An absolute classic and banger

They also wrote it in about 15 minutes. They needed one more song for the album. Still one of my favourite records. War Pigs is their masterpiece.
Here is an oldie but a goodie. The Sound was one of those bands that never really found commercial success but are seen in retrospect as widely influential especially among 1990s grunge and alternative rock musicians. They were probably 10 years ahead of their time.
I was actually introduced to this their music when the singer from Modest Mouse mentioned them as an influence on him. When I hear this song, it makes sense.
