Anyone like me see the clip of Makar telling refs "no, I wasn't tripped - I just fell" and compare it to McDiver in their heads?

He rode a hot streak to a good payday.
Remember when Oiler fans were saying he was a tougher version of Johnny Hockey?
I think he can be useful elsewhere in a spot role.

I think at $3.1MM for the role he plays on a team super tight on cap space he would be a cap dump dump on a trade. Not sure he has negative value but it would not be much.

I’ve watched a fair number of Oiler games and man has that guy taken a beating. Seems to get crunched hard every few games. Good on him for getting up and not missing much time I guess. Once he gets moved somewhere else and gets the stink off he’ll join the long list of ex Oilers who go on to have decent careers.

Entry deadline was the 18th, sadly.
Too bad, that would've been a worthy CP jihad.

As much as Lucic has struggled this year, he is outproducing both Puljujarvi AND Yamamoto.
Not to mention Foegele, Janmark and the beast.
He would be tied for 6th for points among forwards if he were in the dumpster fire. SIXTH.

In the last year of Lucic's deal, there is no doubt the Flames won that trade in a big way. Of course, it is not the last year for Edmonton. They still have to pay Neal $1,916,667 until 2024-25. Let's just hope that Cameron Whynot turns into a stud.

It really is something to watch their mediocrity.
We lost our two best players, and we're still better than them.
FFS you have McDavid and Draisaitl and you're still kicking around the same level as a team that just had two superstars bail on them. The level of managerial incompetence up North is astonishing.

I think it starts with over rating players in their system and being very wrong about them, but not realizing until after they've thrown an extension at them
basically they just can't evaluate talent worth a ****
then there's dressing an ahl defense comprised of journeymen and outcasts and expecting it to good
paying guys as what they project them to be rather than what they've shown also isnt a formula for success (nurse)
