She's actually CURRENTLY a WEF Board chair. Which is hilarious. IRL it's a nothing-burger, while her close association with Trump is more serious.
In reality, Musk basically ahs said he's still in charge of everything important, but here's a woman to take the heat off. He won't be able to resist putting his foot in his mouth though.

If Musk oversees operations and product, pretty much all that's left is ad revenue (which is her background). Advertisers are horrified at Musk and this is his attempt to mollify them.
