Yeah I know it sucks Nadal isn't in the final, but this men's final is easily the most compelling matchup in some time. Everything is in play Sunday, it's a mystery box of a match. Could be a total Kyrgios meltdown, maybe Kyrgios gets into Novak's head and melts him down. It could be an all-time great match, it could be a dud, everything is out there. Should be fun.

Sure as a neutral tennis fan I can absolutely see how this would be more intriguing going in than say Nadal vs Ruud. But we are all interested in the circus coming to town, and what will happen in between points. Do you honestly believe Kyrgios has any shot on Sunday to win the title?
If by a miracle Krygios does win, this will be the 4th player outside of the big 3 to beat Djokovic in a slam final and the 6th time total that it's happened (Wawrinka X2, Murray X2, Medvedev). Nadal and Federer have 1 loss each in a slam final to someone outside the Big 3 (Del Po and Wawrinka).
I think Kyrgios has a chance to upset Djoker on Sunday, obviously he has to serve well, but I've been impressed with his baseline game as well and especially his backhand. I mean, anything can happen in a tie-breaker and if the Kyrgios serve is working, he could deny Novak #21
I have been wrong before and will be wrong again, but I just don't see Djokovic loosing this match. Also who do I cheer for in this match
Yes but both those matches came in Novak's worst year 2017
It's more the mental state of both guys - Nick going in with the belief that he has never lost to Novak. We all know that Djoker is probably the strongest guy mentally to ever play tennis. It makes for a compelling final regardless of the fact that both guys irk tennis fans for vastly different reasons.

We all know Kyrgios has the game to win this match, it will come down to can he find the mental focus to stay in the match for potentially five sets and potentially 4+ hours. And that's where you can struggle to see it happening. But that's also where Novak's mental state will come into play, if Kyrgios can unnerve him then who knows? If this were a three setter I'd say it's a straight toss-up, maybe slight lean Kyrgios. But five is just a different animal.

is asteroid striking Centre Court during warmups a cheering option?
honestly this is the one opponent where I might have to take Holy Water's side, even if it means nestling in between Fedal slam count. the whole Kyrios shtick (which by this point is not spontaneous in the slightest, it's all pre-planned and exaggerated media bait) cannot be rewarded. it really did take a perfect storm of events for him to get this far but there's no asterisks on trophies so the most important thing is that he doesn't get etched on it at all.

So I kind of feel like I should revise my disappointment about Bianca losing to Rybakina now...
