Yeah, between that and the notion that there are no barriers to social mobility, it sounds like what I'd expect a 5 year old to say on the matter. Just a complete gross oversimplification of a very complex matter.

Not to mention that creating more disincentives to having kids is actually the opposite of what North American societies need to reduce their overall tax burden, unless they're planning on opening the floodgates to immigrants.

So I really like Bernie, but how do you get past his age.
Look how much Obama has aged.
So my question is,Who does he pick for his running mate. I really hope Elizabeth Warren signs up with him.

If he takes Warren as his running mate, I think that would be perfect. People would be less concerned if his age does catch up to him because all the things he advocates would be embodied by her as well.

Sanders would probably be best off picking someone who seems very moderate and a "safe choice".

1) He seems sharper and more youthful than Clinton
2) Pick a good young running mate "just in case"

The dream would be Warren as his running mate, but thats us progressive's dream.

He might be smarter off to pick someone more establishment, but I doubt he would.

I think Warren is seen as too progressive. Although she gets bonus points for being a woman. I think that would be a big thing to draw in Hillary voters.

(That said I still think Hillary is going to win. Odds are too stacked for her.)

In my perfect world I'd like Warren to run for President but to pair her with another socialist wouldn't help either to get elected.

Sanders, should he win the nomination, needs someone who has foreign policy experience and who can help get his ideas through Congress.

Two possibilities come immediately to mind:

Joe Biden and John Kerry.

Neither of whom, unfortunately, have age on their side.

Clinton - 68
Trump - 69
Sanders - 74

Rubio and Cruz are both in their 40's

I don't see how 5-6 years makes a big difference. McCain was over 20 years older than Obama, which is why it was a big a deal during that race. But when the front runners are close to the same age, I don't see how it can be a problem.

Sanders should take Rand Paul as a running mate.

That'll blow some minds.

A Libertarian and a Social Democrat. I'm not even sure they speak the same language.

They are actually remarkably alike on everything except most economic issues.

And there they want the same thing but both have different viewpoints on how to get there.

Rand Paul's problem is his ludicrous, militant ideology means he says absolutely fritata things from time to time.

Spoilered for size:

Spoiler!

Rand Paul might as well be a crazy person. Even a blind squirrel finds a nuts, a broken clock is right twice a day etc etc.

What does it say about someone's critical thinking skills or their honesty when they liken universal health care to slavery? He either believes this bullspit (like his crazy dad) or he's an unqualified sociopath who doesn't care what he says so long as he gets something out of it (ala ted cruz).

Either way, the guy is loony toons.
