These guys are amazing. We saw them as an opener here a couple months ago wi0thout ever having heard of them. We weren't gonna watch the opener, but their dad (two brothers in the band) was running their merch at the corner of the bar and challenged us to "get to the ####ing stage for these guys" with a proud dad look to him. Told us we won't regret it.
We went front stage and they blew the crowd away, just incredible band from Thunder Bay. We found dad emotional at the edge of the stage after the set. really cool guys and amazing music.
The latest album by the Cure, Songs of a Lost World is incredible. Probably one of the best complete albums I've heard for a while. I always love it when artists that are entering their elder years can still make something that feels like an important artistic statement and not just retreading a legacy. Really good stuff, and a proper headphones type album that you want to absorb the whole thing in a sitting.

I'm going through time. I've been listening to albums from all the grunge and alternative bands that released an album in the year 1994.
I feel 30 years younger. It is amazing how a lot of those albums have many songs that weren't released as singles would probably chart today if they were released as singles. Music was just so good back then.

why this had a video filmed in Stanley Park and Vancouver to this day makes no sense
Quote:
Elvis Costello visited the West Coast with his band The Attractions to play the Pacific Coliseum (Nov. 17, 1978) and while they were here they shot a video for the Nick Lowe song “(What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love And Understanding.”
The video for the song, directed by Chuck Statler,[9][10] was filmed in Vancouver in November 1978, while Costello and his band were in the city to perform at Pacific Coliseum.[11] The video was filmed illegally after hours in Stanley Park. It opens on a shot of the band on a beach with Burrard Inlet and North Vancouver in the background, and features a number of shots filmed at the park's totem pole pavilion.[12]
Years ago, maybe early 2000's, there was this film called I Am Sam. Not gonna get into the movie, as it is fairly forgettable now, but the soundtrack stood out to me. It was a series of Beatles' covers from modern artists. Some were okay, some were pretty good, but this one always stood out to me. It's like they figured out what it should really sound like, and the singer's raspy voice and gentle drawl add the proper tone to what is a slightly bluesy song. Enjoy!

Oh, and also, Pras is awaiting sentencing for being a high level spy for the Chinese government. Apparently taking the fall for some very rich people involved in the embezzlement of $4.5 billion dollars in the fall of the Malaysia regime. Idris Elba bought the movie rights.
