Woodcroft has to be getting nervous. I mean at the start of the season, he was hyped as the brightest young coach in the league, and a breath of fresh air. The man that would bring a new system and accountability to the Oilers.
Instead we see the same old stuff. Players that don't commit to the systems. Forwards flying the zone before the puck is picked up. poor defensive coverage. His main strategy put Conna and Leon together and over clock them like a AT Microprocessor.
I expect they'll bring in Mac-T or Messier to help him behind the bench after Christmas.

So apparently Oilers are getting both Jonathon Toews and Matthias Edholm retained without giving up major assets. Just add over $16MM in salary and have the Preds retain 50% for four years of one of their best defenders.
What in the hell is wrong with those people.

Is there a video of the Draisaitl tantrum the other night? I saw it mentioned in the thread. I would search for it, but the last time I did, I ended up with Oilers videos in my algorithm. It seems to have finally left, so I don't want to open the door again.

Oilers fans get very upset at reasonable trade proposals….
Chychrun + Nick Ritchie (50%) for 2023 1st + Holloway + Yamamoto + Broberg………. Oilers free up cap for next year by moving on from the second year of a negative value contract, Oilers also get a gritty forward with a little bit of touch that also comes off the books, and the 1D.
Broberg doesn’t have as much value as Oilers fans think and Yamamoto is a pure cap chump that would help them next year. Maybe Arizona has to throw in a 4th or something.
