Ya I'm curious to see how many uniforms will get changed because of this. I'd love to see the Saints get updated, there were rumours of this 5 years ago but nothing ever came of it. I like their unis but they could use an update. Just make sure the gold pants/numbering/helmet are all the same shade this time please.

Eagles keeping Juan Castillo as DC. Hire Todd Bowles as secondary coach. This better mean Andy Reid is done if they miss the playoffs again next season.

The Saints have the best unis in the NFL. Don't change a thing.

and if anyone wondered why Jim Caldwell was fired
Head Coach to QB coach in 2 weeks
didn't even bother waiting for a potential OC job

That means nothing. Pretty much every coach started out as a position coach of some type. At this point in time most co-ordinator positions have already been filled. Being a QB coach on a team like the Ravens who were as close as they were to being a Superbowl team could be more appealing than being the offensive co-ordinator for a team like Oakland or KC who don't look to be in a Superbowl anytime soon.

How many are available?
I can think of one right now and that will probably be filled from within.

Jim Caldwell is a truly awful coach but he is a QB coach first and foremost so it makes sense he'd go back to where he had success before.

Think there are 2-3
what I basically meant though is that he is a terrible coach and has proven so over the last few years, so I can't imagine many teams were lining up to offer him an OC job

What OC positions are available?
Even if there are 2-3 you're acting as if a poor record as a HC means he's terrible as an OC, and that simply doesn't hold water. They are different jobs with very different responsibilities. Plenty of great coordinators suck as HC's.

He tried. Interviewed with Pittsburgh for the OC job but they declined and never offered him a position. Baltimore came calling for the QB coach and he took it. Smart move by him imo.

More than I thought actually
Oakland, KC, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Tampa
I don't think he's bad because of his record, I think no one trusts his decision making after not only last year but in game decisions he made as a HC specifically in some playoff games
he had a great record some years but that's because he had a guy in Peyton Manning who probably has the best offensive mind in the NFL today, possibly in history

Still, does that make him a bad coach, or just a bad head coach? Some guys can be great position coaches, but doesn't always make them good head coaches, or even co-ordinators. Art Schell, not a very good head coach, never really been a co-ordinator. Doesn't mean he wasn't a great offensive line coach. Caldwell was in talks for jobs with the Ravens and Steelers who are two of the NFL's top franchises in the past dozen years. They wouldn't talk to a guy they don't think can coach.
Not to mention how much rope is Cam Cameron going to get if the Ravens offence has some more issues like it did at times this year? Maybe Caldwell saw an opportunity there to eventually move up.

Exactly. Calling a guy a terrible coach because of his performance in the HC role is completely ignoring the massive differences between that role and the many other coaching roles with an NFL team.
