5 is like a weird glimpse into the inner workings of the mind of Star Trek...its really strange and strangely fun. But I mean...the premise? Woo boy thats thin.
I think 6 is my favourite though. Its a close call between 2, 4 and 6.

I think the physics behind the Picard Maneuver was pretty solid though..
FTL violates causality completely. If they can do the Picard Maneuver, they would create paradoxes. I guess this is fixed because Star Trek showed multiverses before most things in pop culture even considered it.
FTL makes absolutely no sense. You'd be travelling back in time. Like if you're looking at the Orion nebula from Earf and then hop on a spaceship and then arrive there expecting it to look like it does from Terra Firma, you'd have travelled back in time about 1300 years.

2 will forever be my personal favourite, but 4 and 6 are both so good in their own ways. 4 is an enjoyable, light-hearted adventure with some of the best humour in the entire series, while 6 is a solid rip-roaring action/political drama and a perfect farewell to the OG cast. They truly went out on a high note with that one.
The stuff with Kirk and Picard in Generations was fun, but I felt like Undiscovered Country was the proper goodbye for the character. Seriously, nothing beats this finale:

6 is the best solely for Christopher Plummer quoting Shakespeare. Seriously, and the rest of the movie is kick-ass too. Also, Christian Slater in a Star Trek movie?

Everyone knows that Shakespeare is best in it's Original Klingon but I also know people who will never forgive Star Trek for having Christian Slater.
I think its hilarious personally.
If I were famous or semi-famous you bet your ass I'd find my way onto Star Trek.
"Make me the Janitor or something. Mopping up after a transporter mishap or something...give me a line of just general grumbling."
"Ohh! Transporters are safe they said! See the Galaxy they said! Now I'm mopping some kid's brains off the pad...they dont tell you about all the mopping!"

Undiscovered Country is the best TOS movie and that's a hill I will fight on (Not die on, cause I am right and my correctness will shield me from your attacks).
Wrath of Khan is great, it's got everything you want but the Undiscovered Country has everythinger you want.

I'm not going to fight you about it because thats pretty much my attitude as well.
Maybe I'm just tired of 4? I dont know. But 2 and 6 are my 'Go To' and I find I prefer 6.

My understanding was that Iggy Pop was like half-dead and in town and wanted a role? Apparently he hurt himself badly, had to cancel some shows (which is why he was available) and thats why he barely moves.
I only vaguely remember the story, but he'd been begging for a role for a while and this opportunity just popped up and they got him in.
These are the Star Trek stories that are great!
Admittedly the Mick Fleetwood one is the best because he agreed to hours of makeup to be 100% unrecognizable just to be on Star Trek. Now that is being a Star Trek fan!
I'm astonished he agreed to it. I'm stunned the producers even suggested it, let alone went through with it, its Star Trek through and through.
