Well I guess it gives me an excuse to go back and play 1 and 2, by then 3 should be cheaper as well I suppose.

I read a thread where the majority of posters had "I AM NOT PLAYING UNTIL I HAVE MY SHEPARD BACK" as their signatures. Foreseeable reaction given the core audience.

Luckily for me, then...I pretty much used the default Shepards with only a couple minor tweaks. Shouldn't be too messed up.

My xbox was stolen, so unless your old saves are linked to your profile or something, guess I'm SOL.
To be fair, I don't remember some of my decisions from the first game anyway, so it's not that big of a deal.

Someone should probably remove the ???? from the title of this thread. Maybe add "RIP Emily Wong"!

Once again, I am getting screwed by my reluctance to go back to the Citadel every 45 minutes. Missed two quests because of an event after not returning for a day. Tempted to restart.

WHAT??
So missions expire, but you have to complete pretty much ALL the missions in single player to get the "good" ending.
Playing a game with a strategy guide on my desk so I do all the missions in the correct order isn't my idea of playing a game... That's data entry.
ETA: If I wanted to play an RTS, I'd buy an RTS not an RPG. If I wanted to play tower defense I'd buy a tower defense game, not AC. Hey you know what ME3 needs? Tamagotchi/The Sims gameplay elements. Gotta make Shepard eat and pee and shower otherwise the shipmates will leave!

I plan on waiting until I upgrade my video card. Hopefully there will be a patch or mods to fix such a silly change by then.

This game is depressing as hell. I'll put why in spoiler tags, but come on Bioware, I'm getting teary eyed like every 30 minutes.

I have decided to play my way through this one, and then play again after to do everything right. I have found out I've actually missed two more quests due to bugs.

There was one mission where at the end I wanted to try it "both ways" to see which would be better for the war effort, and the endings don't give a clear indication, so I went on the wiki and I couldn't even understand what they were saying the mission was so different.. apparently because I didn't buy that DLC for ME2 my version of the mission is significantly different, I have to choose between two suboptimal results, where if I had bought ME2 DLC then I'd be able to have the optimal result.
This is starting to really piss me off.

Someone a couple pages ago was wondering if people hate Activision as much as EA. The answer is of course no, this being a prime example why. I found out the same stuff while reading on my break. I am officially shelving ME3 for a now while my rage subsides.
It's not even because I don't want to buy DLC. I enjoyed ME2 enough to be willing to buy it. Their refusal to allow it on Steam and Origin being terrible made it impossible for me to get without bending over backwards.
EA has taken two master strokes in a matter of months and cocked up both of them all while making Bioware look like the villain. It's a damn shame too because ME3 was an incredibly enjoyable game from what I had seen, but I can't reward this kind of DLC bull####.

Same here, I bought and beat all the DLC, but I imported a different save file (because of choices I made in previous game), so now I don't have some stuff.
Kind of brutal.

It makes sense considering the situation, but I wish they warned you.

Can you say which DLCs are integrated into ME3?
I bought some but not all, and may re-play ME2 before ME3 while hoping ME3 gets fixed.

So far, I've seen references of Arrival and Shadow Broker from ME2.

Shadow Broker for sure as you talk to Liara about it (she becomes the Shadow Broker in the DLC).
Also, not sure which Kasumi's DLC is called, but
