I got two auto dial surveys tonight. Both said they had 4 questions. Was the same voice recording and the first and second questions were the same.
The second question was "Who will you be voting for?"
1 - Ric McIver
2 - Barb Higgins
3 - Naheed Nenshi
4 - Other
First time I picked 4. and then got 2 more questions about election.
Second time I pushed 3. Then the third question changed to "How would you like to help on Naheed Nenshi's campaign?"
When I selected "nothing"..... there was no 4th question.
Now I want them to call again and see what I get when I choose 1 or 2....LOL

Those were obvious sarcasm in reference to people throwing the brick through the window.

A problem indeed, but fortunately it is starting to be rectified.

|
And why do those homes cost an extra 100k? Their supply is kept low and the cheaper suburban housing is under-priced. The latter is why new construction needs to pay more than redevelopment; suburban development is contributing to less than half of the cost of mitigating their infrastructure impact. In addition, many of those larger inner-city lots are being subdivided and redeveloped to use existing infrastructure.
Nevertheless, I think the major source of municipal taxation should more properly reflect an individual's impact. That could very well result in some suburban dwellings paying less than certain inner-city dwellings.

That I like.

I'm against getting rid of it. Too bad, because I was seriously considering voting for him.

He's pretty irrelevant, I doubt his dubious backing with make any difference for Higgins fortunes.

Good, Alnoor just helped un-split the brown people vote. (Sarcasm)
Do think its odd that he even bothered backing Higgins. I bet, if anything, this hurts her campaign; as there were no staunch Alnoor supporters that die by his word.

Is Bronconnier allowed to come out and say who he backs? Or would that be a conflict of interest? I imagine it would be, but I'm just curious to know.

He would likely stay mum on who he supports simply because it may hurt their chances rather than help.

There is no reason that Bronconnier couldn't endorse a candidate, and still lots of time for such a thing to happen. Who do you think he would support?

Either Higgins, Nenshi, or Hehr.
Bronco knows McIver is a tool and is one of the reasons council is so borked right now.

In an interview he did for the Herald, he hinted that he wants people to vote for anyone, but McIver. He said something along the lines of the city needing someone who is for something not against something.

I remember that article, I believe he said something along the lines of "you can't run a city by saying "no" all the time."

On a slightly different note, enjoy the last weekend with limited signage for a while. I noticed a lot of billboards going up this morning and by Monday morning it will be an enormous mass of signs on public property.
I've debated not putting up signs personally...with 15ish mayor candidates and 3-4 aldermanic candidates where I'm running I wonder about how much bang for my buck I'm getting. That being said I might just hold off and see how much of a sign wasteland SW Calgary is over the next week!

You should hire an airplane towing your name to circle McMahon during a Stamps game.

I'll put a thread in the Ring of Fire and maybe there is a CP Pilot who could do something for me!
