New update contains the following: - Auto login function. Just go to settings tab, turn on auto login and bypass the login screen every time you fire it up or a phone call disrupts your conquering.
- Remembers to Disable Autolock if it was disabled previously
- *Should* be playable on the iPod Touch. We know it can as that is how I play the beta version but now the app store should actually let people install the release version on one.
- Follow me feature. Now when you drive off screen it will recenter the map on you. If you move the map with your fingers it turns this feature off (so it does not jump when you are looking around). To turn on again after moving the map with your fingers hit the home button and it will follow you again.
- Other misc bug fixes and memory management improvement.

He just took it back. He must have went on a big trip because he went from like 1098 to 1600 over night.

The only thing, and maybe it's intentional or known about...
When you have the button clicked to keep you centered, and then you go into the search mode to search for a user, and click on one of their territories, it just shoots you back to your current position. So you have to unclick the keep centered button, and then re-do the search.
Definitely not a big deal at all, just not sure if you know about that or not.

Oops, nope did not know that. We will fix that in our next update, which might include in game friends list, messaging and localized leaderboards and might be coming out in the very near future.

ALL ABOARD!

If you take a look at the reports now you'll see that we've added another report we're testing. You'll see when individuals become the ruler of a specific area. We've added Calgary, the 4 quadrants of Clagary, Edmonton and Cupertino. We're working on having localized leader boards so you're not only competing to be king of the world but also the ruler of your city.
Let us know if you'd like us to add more regions. It's a fairly simple process and we can localize it for the people playing outside of Calgary and Edmonton.
We've also almost have messaging completed so you'll be able to add friends/enemies and send them some trash talk.

Not entirely sure why people keep trying to take over "Lindros Country", especially now that I've gathered a lot of rural areas and have resources to spend at will.
I mean a couple weeks ago it was probably fun and all but 10 hours of leaving the phone on 9 kamikaze attacks and a nuke to have the place for 20 minutes before I take it back, probably not worth the effort.
Like I always said, leave me my home area 1 territory. I don't know why it was such a problem to begin with.

Seriously though, how hard would a migration to BB be? or have you guys even considered the challanges yet?

Yeah, I read this post earlier and decided to nuke you anyway. I probably only held that territory for 30 seconds but meh. . . I nuked you. I nuked you good. I also nuked krazy canuck to take a measly 9 troops. I'm mad with power. Mad I tells ya.

Yep, I have considered it. In fact my cell phone is a BlackBerry 8130 (work phone) and I only have an iPod but no iPhone. The first challenge is that my BB does not have GPS but the iPhone simulator / iPod / iPhone do have location services. Second challenge: lots of hardware variance. Screen sizes, gps availability, and a craptastick app store situation for developers. That being said if I get my phone replaced soon at work (and I might), and my new one has GPS...how could I resist! Then I could actually play the game as it is hard to on my iPod.

^^^ Have you tried out the app development SDK from RIM? It's eclipse plugins.. so much garbage when you're used to xcode.

Is the App store just being stubborn about not allowing the game to be installed on iPod Touches? I've had this app since it's earliest release but it still won't actually install onto my Touch and that continues to make me a sad panda....

I considered it for about 20 minutes for an app I would like to have made for a crazy simple task we need to do at work, and then decided that I would rather just do the work via remote desktop with our existing software if it happened out of hours.

Well, we emailed them and they gave us a solution that did not work. So we will try again. That being said, the beta app always runs on iPod (which I use), so download an app called 'Ad Hoc Helper'. This allows you to send your iPod's id # to us. If you get that app and send your id to support@bnid.ca, I will see to it that you will get a beta version that works on an iPod and has a couple unreleased features to boot.
