Gotta feel for Alex Plante. He was demoted from Springfield to Edmonton yesterday, and should begin losing the will to live today against Carolina.

What happened to Lethbridge?
Lost 9-2 in Chilliwack last night and then 11-1 to the Vancouver Giants of Langley tonight!

On top of not being a good team, Lethbridge's goaltending has been spectacularly bad lately. The Canes almost singlehandedly pulled Calgary out of its offensive slump.
Speaking of which, we're finally rolling again. 4-1 win over the Tigers. Just need the Ice to remember that they aren't nearly as good as their recent play.

The game against the Tigers tomorrow night should be good...I love divisional back-to-backs!

2-0 win. Fourth in a row, 8-2 in our last ten. The battles for first place in the East, Central, Eastern Conference and league are all epic this year. Helps one overlook the fact that 15 of 16 playoff spots are already determined.

Nothing happened to them they have sucked all season.
They went for it the last two years and then made some terrible deals at the start of the season to get rid of the only talent they had.
They have terrible defensemen and fairly mediocre goaltending, worse when you consider the only decent guy back there is a 20 year old.
Throw in poor coaching and it is surprising these results don't happen every game.
I see a lot of Hurricane fans trying to talk themselves into the "young" talent the team has coming up but it reminds me a lot of Oiler fans over the past couple of years. The Hurricanes are going to be terrible for a number of years.

At least in the Dub, overnight transformations really can happen - witness Portland. It kinda relies on good scouting and managing and a bit of luck though, all three of which Lethbridge seems to lack right now.

Congrats to Hitmen tender Martin Jones on being named the WHL player of the week. I certain he will be named CHL goalie of the week later on tomorrow or the next day. I also believe that with the win over the Tigers on Saturday, Jones is now a perfect 10-0 vs Medicine Hat in his career.

With that shutout, Jones also tied Pogge for Hitmen all-time shutout leader!

The Hitmen had their way with the Broncos tonight, winning 6-1. Michael Snider started for the first time in about 5 or 6 weeks. The Hitmen are really starting to roll. It finally looks like there is some chemistry with all the lines.

Hey guys I'm wondering if anyone knows of any site where I can watch the WHL highlights from last night, particularly the Pats-Wheat Kings. Myles Bell is my girlfriend's brother and he got his first goal last night and I'd like to see it. Thanks

Not highlights, but the WHL archives past games. So if you're willing to pay a couple bucks, you can watch last nights game:

The Hitmen win their 6th in a row tonight in Regina vs the Pats, 6-2. Kozie had the hat trick and Misha Fisenko had a nice game. They really seem to have found their game again.

Indeed. Peaking at the right time.
Magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 5.

Kozun named player of the week after scoring 6g 2a and going +8 in four games last week.
Up against Prince George tonight. The worst team in the league against what will surely be a surly Hitmen team after the loss to Brandon. Rather expecting a blowout tonight.
Magic number is 1.5.

Not very dominating despite a 5-1 win. They scored on their first 3 shots and only ended up 20 shots in total. Good thing the Cougars are terrible.

Well, it would have helped if Theissen didn't go well out of his way to try and help Prince George out in the third. Hard to dominate when the referee is feeling sorry for one of the teams.
Still, quality win.

I agree. The Shattock call was well deserved, but the others were borderline. Still, the guy did call a decent game considering he was by himself.

I just got offered "season" tickets to the Hitmen for the rest of the season for $123 and lower-bowl seats to the World Juniors in 2012 if I accept. I'm not really a Hitmen fan, haven't gone to a single game this year but this sounds tempting.

Part of the deal with the world juniors is that you have to buy Hitmen season tickets next year as well. In the lower bowl, that will amount to about $550+tax per seat. So unless whoever is making this offer is buying those tickets themselves, make certain of the fine print before you agree.
