So, I received an email stating that the Calgary Scholas have offered my player, OBCT Kills, a new contract. I cannot find any other contract info on my player page, other than the fact that I am still under contract with the Isotopes until Season/Day 6/1.

Since it is still Season 5 now, will I see new contract offer(s) after my current contract expires?

Will the Isotopes extend an offer to re-up my contract for another season?

I've sent a PM to DiscoStu as I think he owned the Isotopes, but I haven't heard a reply from him. I noticed the Isotopes is under computer control now meaning no one is controlling it anymore and the owner let it lapse.

So I sent to you contract from the Schola. Essentially the contract is an offer to buy you from the Isotopes and renew your contract with the Schola. If the team had an owner, it would have had to go through that owner for approval first, but in this case a computer automatically approves the transfer/sale of the player. If you accept it now, you would be then on the Schola, no matter the end date of your existing contract. You can also reject it and stay on the Isotopes until you get a different contract. After 6-1 you'll still remain on the team, just not under a contract.

I guess it depends on if you want to wait and see if the owner comes back, or if you want to be on a team with a better chance in the playoffs

My question is, how do I accept? I tried look on my profile page and contracts page in the game, but could't find any place that actually mentioned the new pending contract offer, even though I know it must exist, as I got an email telling me it exists. No link in the email either... that I can see.

I'll give it another day to think about it before I pull the trigger anyways (I donno why giving DiscoStu one more day is helpful, but I'll feel better if I do). I would really like to win in the playoffs, but I want to be loyal to Stu if he does come back. How long has he been away to make his managership lapse like this?

Ah ok.

You can look at new offers by going into the players profile page. Then under Player Shortcuts on the right side, you'll see "_ New Contracts" The blank may say 0, but this is what you need to click on. Along the top of that screen, but under the main menus in blue, are three options. Current Contract, Latest Offers, and New Offers. Click New Offers and it should show the one that was sent you. If it's not there, then I have no idea what happened to it.

I'd feel better if you gave it another day or two as well. He PM'd me back, but hasn't replied to my second one yet saying if he was the owner or not, but did say he was on vacation. So the team ownership could have lapsed and he simply didn't know. I don't want to look like I'm stealing you, especially in a playoff run. Memberships last 1 season, and start/end on the day you purchased it.

Hey guys. OBCT, go for whatever you want. (Its been a good run) I'm going to stick with my team until the end of the playoffs but I am not going to be a manager for next season so if you want to take contracts go for it. I would want to be on a team with a manager who can alter lines and what not instead of a computer owned team.
BA, my players will be available after the season if you want, I will just wait until we are done playoffs before doing anything.

I signed up for this today, just plan on managing one player. I screwed up a couple things though, as I didn't know what I was doing, like I tried to redeem free skill boost points without having made a player yet, so lost them. Also clicked the draft link and was drafted by some weird team that doesn't seem to be playing any games. I'm training my guy and got some new equipment, but that's about it. Guess will have to wait and see how this goes, as there doesn't seem to be much happening ATM, which I sort of expected.

I might buy some cyberpoints to get my guy's skills up really fast, but will wait a bit to see what's going on first.

*edit* just found the team page, looks like it's a computer controlled team, and apparently I'm the only LW, so I'll get lots of ice time if and when we play any games

The free skill boost points are actually expired, not sure why the link is still there.
It's playoff time right now, so your team might not be playing any games if they are out of it. Might have to wait 15 days to see any action.

Looks like the Bellators are moving on to the second round but are meeting the #1 team who are extremely difficult to beat. Schola have moved on to the second round and will be paired up against the Springfield Isotopes... (you guys sure you don't want to accept those offers? haha). We'll have to see how Bork and OBCT matchup. Puckers look to be out of it now as the #1 was too much.

ill need some players come off season i think a few of mine are leaving .... and dont spend money on skill pts.... the game is in disarray and all the bugs that they refuse to fix is horrible. Your just throwing away money on a game that the owners at this point in time are refusing to work on..

For any managers who want to arrange friendlies during the off season my team is the Abbotsford Heat in Can div6 (http://cyberpuck.com/team.php?m=team&id=3405), I'll be eliminated in the next 3 days I believe.

Also I plan on changing things up for next season, so I'll have 3f and 2d available. They're all 35(ish) and training, but I can't bear to see them languishing on the minutes that I give them. So they're going to be accepting reasonable contracts from where ever they can get them.

But nickerjones gets first crack at them.

I'm selling my entire account and leaving the game. I've had it with the ineptitude of the developer and what he considers to be important (stupid Live Games feature instead of actually making the game work).

I agree BlackArcher, it's ridiculous that adding features is more important to him than fixing obvious glitches and bugs. I know it's a lot more fun to program new apps, but when there are consistent problems season after season it gets a little stale.

I'm going to give it another season (as that's what I already paid for), but dropped games, leagues ending early, and the insane stamina bug all just make me want to quit. Not to mention the nearly empty leagues that litter the interface.

And focusing on adding live games when simple things (like legible stat sheets) are missing...unreal. I want to be able to see my players stats, sorted however I want them sorted (and calculated correctly).

I guess they have a couple of months to satisfy me before I find some other time waster game.

There isn't anything wrong with them, but I've been beat bad by teams with small rosters. And I don't really want these guys playing 12 or so minutes when some of my better players apparently have the stamina to play all game. And no, Layton will never be created. I couldn't bear to put time and energy into a leader I can't respect.

I see that BlackArcher left the game a couple of weeks back... but I believe I just accepted a contract from him for my player OBCT_Kills (it says he is the Manager of the Calgary Schola). Strange.

Regardless, I want to thank DiscoStu for giving my player the chance to play for the Isotopes and the ice time to allow him a chance to score some goals - he's a bit of a puck hog, I know. I wanted to stay with the Isotopes, but noticed that the team has fallen into Computer management again, so I thought it was best to bolt now. OBCT_Kills loved the city of Springfield and considers the Isotopes organization classy and professional from top to bottom.

OBCT_Kills looks forward to complementing a strong line-up with the Schola. He is looking forward to playing in Calgary, calling it a, "dream come true."
