well pretty much a flawless 4 games from eli. his one pick tonight wasn't his fault. He's still a young qb, who looks better every year. he'll be fine.

Wait a second. I figured it out. We all know who is to blame for this loss. Until this person showed up, Tom Brady never lost a Superbowl. It was this person who was the monumental person who cost Tom Brady the game. It was this person who puts Tom Brady on his back more then anyone else in history. Michael Strahan? Nope. Osi Umeniyora? Nope. Sam Madison? Nope.

Tom Brady lost this game because of Gisele Bundchen! It was because of her that Brady lost. He was undefeated in big games until she came around.

I wonder how long until the team's best reciever (Moss) questions the quarterback for bringing his gf to the game.

Lol I guess you missed my whole Romo-Simpson reference, lol. But NE would be silly not to re-sign him and I think they will. He was a key part to that team and I think he will be back. They don't have confidence in their kicker though. If that was Vinatieri, Belichick would have sent him out for that 48 yard FG attempt.

you are right, I missed it, but I sensed the sarcasm. I actually doubt they'll pay for Moss. They got the best out of him as he spent the year working for his next longer term deal this year.

Once he signs he'll be a headcase again.

This may have been mentioned already, but huuuuge props to the Giants DL for keeping Brady rattled all night. I understand why Eli got the MVP(and deservedly so, for that last drive). But IMO it couldve also easily been DE Justin Tuck. 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and was in Brady's cage all night, resulting in many errant throws by him. Tuck and the rest of the Giants DL clearly got in Brady's head.

It's started already. Redskins plan to interview the Giants defensive coordinator on Tuesday. What a job he did in the SB. Wow.

the redskins job would be a bad one to take, almost as bad as the raider job.

how long does that guy need to find a coach?

I have to admit to being a little mystified when TB said Manning was the MVP. Sure he did a Doug Flutie escape move and got lucky on a desperation toss but come on.

The Giants defense was outstanding and the schemes were brilliant.

Clearly the MVP of the game was Spagnolo(if they could give it to a coach).

yeah, I think the whole defensive line had a case for being MVP. I thought Tuck or Umenyiora would have been better choices. Terrific game by the entire defense.

While I agree with that (the Giants D were the determining factor in the game), to lead the offense down the field with 2:30 and score the game winning touchdown is the stuff that legends are made of.

Think Superbowl XXIII - Montana (who I think should have been one of the honourary captains) marching the field with a TD pass to Taylor to win the SB and break the Bengal hearts. That was Bill Walsh's final game as a coach. Maybe it was destiny a similar drive would happen in a game dedicated to Bill Walsh.

Eli went from Goat to hero in that drive. That pass to Tyree will go down as one of the greatest plays in NFL history. You really have to hand it to Eli. He accomplished something his brother never has. Won four playoff games on the road, including one of the coldest games of all time, and pulled off a huge upset in the Super Bowl.

It was done, and from what I heard it was the pats moving in next door to the dolphins, and the dolphins bringing them some sort of house warming gift. I hope it gets released

You think Peyton did too many TV ads?

Well, now it is going to get ridiculous, with a million ads featuring the Manning bros.

Ha, I thought this as well.

What a great game. Tight all the way down to the wire, and what a finish. This NFL football, it ain't bad.

It was the wrong time to gamble, and they really gave the Giants defense a shot in the arm.
The pats are a good team in part becasue they don't punt when they are on the opponent's 32 yard line.

A field goal would have made sense. A punt in that situation does not make sense.

Added a poll about the result. Only other upset of this calibre that comes to mind is Superbowl 3 when the Jets became the first AFC team to win. Other than that...Patriots over the Rams was an upset, but not of this magnitude. I think this is the biggest upset though...We're talking an undefeated team losing to a Wild Card team here.

a wild card team that gave them everything that they could handle a few weeks ago, which is why I said no.
