I was looking for an advantage in picking the winners, so I took a look at the regular season games so far this season. The sample size isn't very large (55 games), but so far, the home team has only won 51% of the time. Interesting, I was expecting that number to be up around 60%. Apparently "home advantage" doesn't exist, not in the regular season anyway.
Anyway...just thought I'd share that!

I've always found that strange too. Hockey is the sport that should have the most home advantage (last change, last to put stick down on face off, good/bad ice, lively/unlively boards etc...)
But every year it seems to be 50%. Whereas sports like basketball and football have a HUGE home advantage.
I'll give this a shot.

No I appreaciate it. Whoever gets it done first all the better. It is a little bit of work to calculate everyone ones picks and then keeping a running total.
